My team and I were going through floor 86-90 in Nyzule Isle last night when we ran into a problem on floor 87. One member of our team had disconnected. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem if our task was "kill all" or "specific monster." This floor wasn't like the "kill" floors...this floor was a lamp floor, the "register your code" type of lamp. The four of us had registered our code and the other member had just approached the lamp when he got the "red dot of death" and never registered. We waited until our timer ran out for him to come back online so we could at least "exit" the floor but he never came back. I had even called a GM to see if they would allow us to resume the floor but sort our 5th member.
I placed the GM call about 5 minutes after the member had disconnected. I thought 5 minutes was a decent time to wait to see if they would come back before I would look into another avenue of being able to move on or at least try to talk to a GM into allow us to move on. I had to wait another 10 minutes to get a MESSAGE from a GM(not being able to talk to a GM). This message was along the lines of:
"We commend you on your attempt to help our friend but we can't help from your account. Please have your friend log in and call for GM support."
I was shocked that the GM thought I was trying to help my friend get back online so we could continue our climb. I wanted the GM to allow us to move on or return our spent Tag back to us so we could try again but with only 4 out of 5 people.
Ok, my feedback is done so now for my suggestion for this type of problem.
If someone disconnects and is gone for more than 5 minutes:
a) Nyzule Isle should remove that player from the "zone" and allow the others to continue on. If person comes back but before 10 minutes, that person may enter Nyzule and go straight to the floor his party is on(bypassing the option to purchase temp items).
b) Nyzule Isle should remove the party from the zone and return their spent tag and the run not be a failure and more of an "communication error from Higher Command."
