I already posted this before, but i feel as though i'm being ignored even though i was acknowledged. This should be a #1 priorty issue after any abyssea issues being addressed since its an artifact quest. I want to know the progress on this issue and i'd prefer to hear an estimated time when i can see a fix for this issue. Forgive me for the repeated post but i'm PRETTY SURE fixing an issue where "the dualshock 2 wasn't vibrating properly during fishing" is insignificant compared to this issue. I'm still scratching my head why THAT was fixed with the ps2 version but THIS wasnt. I have been waiting very patiently for my artifact body and i'm pretty bummed out that i cant get it STILL.

and before you ask, yes i did a full system file check on BOTH of my playstation 2's, and after wasting hours of my time for nothing, my system came up saying everything was 100% fine.

*Please try to include the following details.

*I talked to the NPC to complete the final task required to receive my Dancer Artifact Body armor. After participating in a dancing competition against the other performers during the quest called "Comeback Queen" and winning, the final cut scene will ensue. During the cut scene, Laila has 2 flash backs. The first flash back is of her adult self standing on the edge of the water in Jugner Forest looking out into the distance. That part takes a bit long to load, but then the camera will return to present day Upper Jeuno. Soon after, there is another flash back of her child self, as she recalls the day she heard the sound of the pipe playing. Just as she turns around and puts her hands to her ears to listen, the cut scene stops working and Laila (child version) is stuck there with her hands to her ears staring into the woods with her back to the camera. She does not move, and it forces the player to be stuck in the middle of the cut scene. The only way out of the cut scene is if you restart your Playstation 2 manually by hitting the reset button. When you return, you do not have your Artifact body armor, and the game does not record that you won the dance competition. I have attempted to finish the cut scene over 10 times in the last week and the furthest I've gotten into the cut scene is where she has another flash back and is performing in front of the fountain in Bastok Markets[S] and there is a crowd of people cheering for her. Then the story stops again.

Perhaps you could try having a trusted friend, and I mean very trusted (with a PC, not Xbox) log into your account as a guest, log in to your character and move you through the Quest. It worked for me when I became stuck in a Windurst Mission and could not proceed. This information was given to me by a Customer Service rep when I called them for help.

you can't turn off weather effects on PSD2/PS3 and 360 versions, which I wish ya could especially when in xarcabard anad glacier areas when it is double ice hard to see... lol
I play on PC, PS3 and 360 and when on PC I turn off weather when it is double ice

Wish I could turn off weather effects too, double ice especially, and double dark in Dynamis Windurst. For some reason, maybe due to the confined area, it's hard to see beyond my pointy ears and nose.

Then I think its about time SE made if so all versions can turn weather effects on and off.... Notice Not one response from SE yet on this thread.

These bugs aren't new, It's almost like some greater power is placing them there to ween out console gamers, not really it's failure by the developers to balance memory resources consumed by new content and features. I know exactly what's happening but doubt SE will fix these issues.

You see when the missions and quest where first created the core engine (memory size) on the PS2/PC/XBOX was smaller. There where less key items, less menus and basically, a lot less was there. After new additions / enhancements where added to the client the core engine base requirements increased. This basically creates a bottleneck in the usable memory allocated for cut scenes etc. It's because of the enhancements that when a large cut scene that used to fit in memory loads it runs out of handles space, etc. causing a hard memory fault. When the cs reaches that point in the cs it's not all there and the rest is history.

This is because the cut scenes are attempting to over allocate available memory. I don't understand why SE can't figure this out It's not rocket science. If you keep adding new stuff the old stuff needs compressed or memory requirements reduced or the client is bound to fail. This is especially true with the finite resources available on the consoles. On a PC the OS and client can just allocate more ram and the players would be none the wiser however, on the PS2/PS3 and Xbox these resources are hardware limited.

So the next time you see someone complaining about CS's crashing know this. It's not always the consoles fault. I've seen a lot of humdingers about it being firewalls etc. Just relay what I've said here and maybe just maybe SE will figure it out and stop blaming it on everything else.

The truth is out there.

Hello, MercenaryX!
I am very sorry it seems you are being ignored, that is not the case. The bug report has been submitted and is still pending for investigation. I have added what you included in your OP to the previous report. As soon as there is a reply it will be posted in the original thread. We thank you for your patience and understanding while we investigate.
