So far there's been a dual wield+1 and atk+4.
Can we get real augments? I thought this was supposed to make the gear useful?

I know... best I've seen is Byakko's haidate with DEX +19...

...followed by eBody with Double Attack +1% lol. It still doesn't make this stuff that comparable with the new gear (which is what it sounded like they were aiming for).

So far: I've HQ'd 6, 8, and 12 scraps. Byakko Haidate augs so far are NQ: agi 4 HQ str 1 store tp 1 HQ VIT5 store tp 2 HQ Vit 3 store tp 2 HQ Dex 2 Store tp 1

Also did Genbu helm but only one try so far and I took it until I decide if I want to try more in the future: Haste 2 PDT -2

And more: HQ - haste 1 magic eva 2, NQ Pet: magic eva 2, NQ resist silence +4.....

Finally got a store tp 4 and crit dmg +4% for haidate. I took it. I'll check back later when I have far more scraps to burn rofl

I just unlocked synergy on my mule and I can't for the life of me make the damn abjuration tatters. Keep failing. Easy my ass.

Final tally after I realized I could use any of the god seal scraps for osode and efeet abj for tatters for hauberk(update notes were a little confusing) osode acc 6 DA1 , Koenig hands were a pretty good start with 3 augs including counter 1 resist stun 4 and enmity 5 but I kept going to see other choices and stopped with shield skill 4, counter 1. Finally, adaman hauberk - hp 11 att 5 DA 2. It was my last try of the 14 shots I had and I took it obviously. Was by far the best aug of the bunch. Most of it was DA 1 plus another stat of various things that were unimpressive.

I HQ'd the earth feet abj and martial hand abj for 14 each, and the aquarian feet for 8. So HQ varies quite a bit on stuff. I'm guessing 4 > 6 > 8 > 10 > 12 or skip the 10 for god seals but it might be there...just never seen 4 HQs for anything. 6 > 8 > 10 >12 >14 for abj. DA seems like the dominating stat of choice for body gear, combined with any number of other things, and 3 stats are very rare to see. I saw 2 total in... I don't know. Like 40-50 tries across 6 pieces of gear. Next up is zenith gear... and I'll see what byakko's axe pops out.

Final edit for the night: Tried axe. Best aug was dmg 22 dex 4 MAB 8. I was going to take it but I canceled out by habit >< Oh well maybe I'll see better later.

Has anyone without high level synergy had success making scraps and tatters from the seals/abjurations yet? I've gotten bored of failing and wasting fewell and have given up.

Sub par enhancements(or massive retries to get something decent but still beaten by new stuff) and loss of ability to store the item...Eh, no thanks.

Some of the Augments are not half bad, not amazing, but not half bad. Theres an Augmented Byakko's Haidate with Crit.hit.Dmg+4% or so, good for Jishnu's Radiance (15DEX, 4%Crit hit dmg).

Kirin's Osode I've seen up to 3 Dual Wield (Could go higher?)

Just like Every other augmentation system in the game right now (aside form magians) there is some form of luck involved. Look at the Trophy armor, You'll get crap a lot, then out of nowhere a useful Augment.

I can't recall every decent Item i've seen, But check out the FFXIAH and BG Augmenting threads, Theres some decent info/things posted.

I don't recall seeing SE Say this would make gear better/useful for every job, just hat it would be alternatives to +1 Emp armor, and some of it is.

My head hurts from face-palming at nearly every post I've read here.Facepalm all you like, this isn't enough to make most people care. I'm sorry you feel everyone so far has underestimated this. To me, it simply isn't worth my time trying for the rarer augments on obsolete gear that only just recently became store-able. But I'm leaving this thread before the usual suspects arrive to say how lazy everyone disagreeing with them is and how I want an easy button that hand out instant wins and free kraken clubs in my mog house etc etc, because that attitude from those people is what will make my head hurt Karb. Not worth the energy to defend my feedback to SE.

If you don't have abyssea, auging this stuff is likely the best gear you can get for awhile. Depending one what items from the new content just released is AH'able and how much they cost. I noticed quite a bit in the dat mine threads that wasn't rare/ex that looked pretty sweet.
