I like this. Their is no doubt here that they were going to announce an extension as we all have faith it won't be finished on time. Just someone surprised they were so quick to inform us. lol

Yeah, I just got back to my laptop after eating dinner. I looked it up right after I posted my last thing here. I'm betting it won't be done until 2-3am EST so that way it'll be 3-4pm JST for the Japanese to login and congest all the new content with late night NA players and EU players.

There has been plenty of updates without extensions. There's just never been an update without emergency maint to follow as far as I can recall. It's basically a guarantee we'll see emergency maint for this update. Not so much because of history but because there's a lot of stuff that's just begging to glitch like synergy augments and ex items for del box which after looking at the list of no gos that has everything but the kitchen sink I'm wondering if there is actually anything we can send to mules...

This is absolutely ridiculous! I understand they're updating and whatnot but seriously, plan for more time than needed and finish in time or god forbid pleasantly surprise users by announcing early completion. The lack of consideration, idk what else it could be, the FFXI team shows for the players is uncanny.

I dont think i can ever remember a maintenance ending on time.
