My apologies if this is not the correct forum for this comment, but upon reading the update notes something struck me as frustrating.

Windurst's Abyssea NPCs in Heaven's Tower? Really? If the Aby NPCs were put in Metalworks, Chateau d'Or. and Heaven's Tower this would make sense - all have to be zoned into, and all have a sort of "City Hall" feel to them.

Shouldn't Windy's be put in Port (to continue the Port-theme the others have), or even just Woods/Waters/Walls?

I am sorry to seem like complaining, but Windurstians already have to run 12 miles, uphill both ways, through 10 feet of snow to get anywhere...

hardly anyone is going to use them anyhow everyone still going to congregate in jeuno for shouts for PUG's and exp parties etc anyhow .. use the moghouse exit to waters hang a right zone and ur pretty much right there anyhow if its that bad...

that being said people who stay in the huge run around city of windhurst are insane anyhow to big and everything too spread out as it is so this shouldn't surprise u lol

I also WTFed at that part of the notes. For this reason I'm keeping my home point in Jeuno.

Nearly everything you said is exactly my point. And the suggestion of how to get there more quickly, while well intended, is widely known; and still not short...

Since the city NPCs are there, essentially, for situational convenience (snagging stones before OPing to Qufim to hit Shin, etc.) why not... you know... actually make them convenient? SE mentioned that this was to lessen congestion, but it is really only going to have an effect on small group/LS events - like you pointed out, PUGs are still likely going to be built with Port Jeuno shouts.

Bomingo Round(sp?) where the Artisan Moogle, and the Aht Uhrgan warper, hang out would have been a fine choice - as would near the Airship docks in Port - regardless of specific location, there is just a logical disconnect between the placement of the NPCs in the other cities and where they were put in Windurst.

putting them by OP warp npcs in all cities would of been more sensible mind u in sandy and bastok don't have to run for 2 hours to get to them still but we are speaking of SE here putting them in a convenient place wouldn't be pratical for some reason XD
just glad didn't put them in white gate always hated the lag i get there for years now :(

All I have to say is HA HA to the taru's and their little legs. That big city finally came back to bite them in the ars (even if it is a little nip).

i don't really like complaining but i have to agree.

if they were to put the npc in port windurst, i'd prolly still just use jueno. But the fact that they put it in Heaven's Tower does not make sense.

Dev team, you guys should really move those NPCS or give players 25% movement speed in Windurst. No one is going to give up Port Jeuno when Auction House/Mog House/Conquest Guard/Abyssea NPCs are within seconds of each other.

No, it would have to be woods, walls or waters. None of the other NPCs are in a zone that also contains an OP NPC.

While I don't disagree with your assertion, the overall point is more specifically that there is an annoying, thematic disconnect between the placement. As Heaven's Tower is Windy's "City Hall" it would make more sense for them all to go into the "City Hall" zones - or if they are not going to put them in said zones elsewhere, there is little reason to put them there in Windurst.

Your point seems more to speak to the content that you didn't quote, regarding my suggestion that they be placed in Port Windurst so that they were all in Port zones - but in that paragraph, I conceded that this was not necessary, just that it made more sense than Heaven's Tower.

Agreed, I don't like "whiner threads" either - but this made so little sense my frustration got the better of me.

In regards to comments about the placement of the Abyssea NPCs in Heaven’s Tower, Windurst, the development team is aware of what you are all pointing out. The development team tried placing them in each area of Windurst, however, there were memory issues in Windurst Woods, Windurst Waters, and Port Windurst which would not allow the ability to confirm Bastion conditions. Due to this, they placed the NPCs in Heaven’s Tower.

As pointed out, there is a difference in convenience when compared to San d’Oria and Bastok, and though it might take some time, we will be looking for other methods to solve this issue.

There we go.

Annahya beat me to it ><

In other words... because SE still supports PS2, all windurstians have to run for miles to reach their abby NPC. I guess windy will be empty^^

If going to cite HUGE mistakes in this update, how about increasing the variety of drops on mobs, bad enough to lose your home, be forced into a bunch of ppl that don't want you on "their" server, ppl that have stolen shell names and are ransoming them off, just witnessed a bot claim on sippoy, if they were looking to reduce player base, this will succeed, ALL NMs should've been made force pop if you're going to make more NM's desirable targets. This is just like the old RMT days of 05 when Ulli was only claimable by bots and all sky drops were held for ransom at exorbitant prices.

NPC placement is the LEAST of the faults in this update.

Am I complaining? YES, I am. I was enjoying the game since Abyssea came out, now, what's the point of playing if I'm thrown back 6 yrs and I can't get anything to advance my character? I have to join a linkshell with 60 ppl ahead of me in line for an item when my play time is severely limited because yeah, I have a job! omg a job.
