jar honest, you have a good grasp on the math, have you just never partied with a real war or seen a parse of their WS dmg average?
BRD75 cor80 DRK WAR SAM PLD BLU BLM WHM 90 no ive never seen myself play
the other 18% of the time hasso is up
other 28% of the time and hasso is up fulltime period. its how these calculations are done.
an NQ war, abusing hasso. pretty much destroys my cata numbers. (and my cata numbers were pretty much on par with my guillotine numbers, though guilltine would average 100-200 higher) The only thing that keeps me relatively close was the insane melee dmg i could do by riding SE + Hasso, and being at haste cap.
and you didn't answer my question. Does your ls parse? We parsed every ein run, a good majority of the dynamis runs etc. War ws trashes everything when geared properly. its not a contest.
I parse almost everything
then you should know this already <_<
then you should know this already <_<
<.< your doing it wrong i swear nothing gets far enough ahead on WS damage that it will beat that 8% haste.

I'm kinda confused here ...
After update imo
Outside abyssea
DRK will be one of the top DD for sure (maybe even top)
Inside abyssea
Honestly i don't know when Ukko's is crazy DMG but with this new Last resort stuff DRK melee is going to go through the roof but i'm not gonna call it just yet.
But can i just point this out
Why are you talking about Ukkos vs Cata or Guillotine. DRKs Strongest WS is Torcleaver and WARs is Ukkos thats ur comparison.
Now heres the real thing u can argue about having a BRD to cap ya haste till the cows come home but to be honest in abyssea at most u should have 1 BRD (this can be replaced by a BLM/BRD alot of the time) meaning in the more common situation when you not having access to March DRK is gonna have 15% haste over WAR and in that case i don't think WAR is gonna beat us that easily even with ukkos i'm not gonna work it out i'll just wait and see how DRK changes after update.

I can honestly see DRK shitting all over WAR outside of abyssea, inside would probably be close. Really depends on if the new VIT thing is hurting or buffing crit WS over all.
Finally have a reason to get my Cala to 90 been 15/75 for a while now been really lazy about getting it done mainly because I don't play DRK that much :/ Maybe after im done getting Almace to 85 ill burn through it x;
Over all i'm very happy tho awesome update coming our way!

At the moment a Gjallar BRD /w AF3+2 hands ends up with march+4, this leads to:
96/1024 (Victory March Cap) + 4*16/1024(+4 March) = 160/1024
64/1024 (Advancing March Cap) + 4*16/1024(+4 March) = 128/1024
Haste Spell = 150/1024
438/1024 = ~42.8% Haste (About 1% shy of the magic cap)
Add in 25% from gear and 10% from Hasso = ~77.8% total
This means LR ends up adding about ~2.2% Haste, which of course is fairly substantial at a high level of attack speed. (~11% increase in paper, but keep in mind this doesn't mean 11% extra damage since many other delay factors are involved in real life scenarios. Engaging, WS, JA all add delay independent of your attack delay.)
The obvious counterargument is that most players don't have the luxury of a Gjallar BRD singing them beautiful marches all the time, and you're right. This is true, and for that, this is a fairly big boost for the DRK community as a whole. The average DRK will gain a fairly noticeable increase in normal buff situations. (Although following SE's trend, a March+3 instrument seems due out this next update, so any well geared BRD is going to have luxury of +4 marches.)
I don't think it's wrong for some people to be upset that these adjustments, while nice, help players in low-buff/poor support situations, and have less effect for players in high-buff/good support situations.
An upgrade is an upgrade, and I don't think anyone can dispute that.

Either way, we still need a BRD to cap our haste, regardless of how we handle the rest of it. Doesn't matter if we have 1 BRD or a parade of them. We need at least 1.
My dnc friend made fun of me today. I completely forgot about haste samba in my equation. lmao
God he didn't let me live it down ALLL day
