Please add in male Mithra for players. Perhaps they are escapes from the past alternate dimension of Hrimaletam (<--- word scramble). As a great deal of players drop their female mithras to make one we would have more people running around doing some of the missions and quests!

Do this, then give us the ability to change our race. Make it a one-time thing, make it literally cost a million gil, or 20 RL bucks, make us stand on our head facing southwest on Watersday while chanting the secret names of the Yagudo Manifest, I don't care. It really doesn't -matter- that it doesn't make IC sense or breaks immersion; nobody cares about that.

(Or just give us the ability to change race. I recognise that allowing playable male Mithra at this point would require a re-rendering of every piece of armour in the /game/, and that's unrealistic at this juncture, but, there are a -lot- of people who made characters before they actually got ingame and saw what their favourite armour looks like on different races, or how adorable taru are, or how hot elvaan are, or whatever. Let them correct their mistakes!)

I would totally pay 20 bucks for my friend to be able to switch to elvaan. >_> (personally I'd stay a taru even if they added male mithra as an option, which... seems like it's unreasonable to ask for, I'm just way too used to being adorable and pint-sized fierce.)

First off, Male Mithras exist, there's no need for this alternate dimension crap.
Second, they aren't playable, and they never will be.

To begin with, there would be a whole lot of unnecessary work to do this, coding-wise.
And SE enjoys their lore, in which Mithran females are predominant.

I've only ever seen one male Mithra in game, and it was enough to make me never want to see them as a playable race. I understand fully why the females are predominant...and why many of them prefer to chase males of other races...

I prefer to think that he's just a freak and that the real explanation of why we see no male Mithra is the one that hentai doujin artists came up with.

galka are a non-sexual species, so tectonically they aren't male or female even though they have a more "male" personality and look. anyone whose done the basty missions would know this
