View Full Version : Sic & Ready Recast Timers
It really does not make sense to me that Sic/Ready recast timers are so long.
It was much improved when the ready command was added. However, it doesn't make sense for this time limit to be imposed. Why shouldn't the limiting factor be TP like automatons?
The Ready commands are not even so powerful. Depending on how much haste I have, I can WS many times between pet being able to use a ready move. A mediocre/poor WS will do more damage than the best DD ready moves. a Good WS w/ atma will do a good 2-3x more damage.
It seems it would be much more appropriate if TP were the limiting factor.

I agree. I believe that we should be able to use the pets Tp whenever they get 100%. With Sic we dont even get to choose what tp move is used. So we should be able to try for the tp move we want when ever we can.
Even the potential abuse of 1k needles is pretty much a moot point because every other job will do well over that 1k damage with 1 WS. Even if u add the WS damage we do to the 1k, other jobs still do more damage. Not to mention that this is pretty much the only tp move our pets use that will get anywhere near this kind of damage.
I dont see the harm in letting us have our pet do its like 500ish (on good occasions) damage every time our pet gets tp.

Dosent Pup have a hand to had item that gives 20/tic regain to their frames also? Glyph axe is slow, but still usefull for the start of fights and bscms

10/tic but still too much compared to BST's lousy 1.
I'm glad pup's got the regain hands. I'm not really interested in comparing the jobs. I'm just focused on bst, and the recast time as the limiting factor seems really silly. I'll have 300 tp well before I can use many ready commands. IF we were knocking out 2~5k damage like smn bloodpacts, I might see the point.. but we're not. Not even close.

Yeah, I totally think that it should be based solely on tp.
