Could we please please please change how you get to Kirin? Don't know how many hours are wasted trying to get the last person there.

That's why you allow an hour to gather for Kirin. There is supposed to be a secret to hitting the teleport, but I never found that it worked. It's all luck really and knowing how to get out of pots room and back again. Maybe you can do without that last person if it's taking too long?

the idea of "Randomly" going to the place you want, or getting thrown in a place forcing you to walk around itself is the problem.
its a stupid and illogical procedure that wastes unnecessary time. there's no challenge in Dumb-lucking into the Kirin room, it needs to be fixed. Lets not make excuses.
I know at one point i was trying to get to Kirin, showed up ~30 minutes before gather, Took me 23 Tries to get the Kirin room, took me about 45 minutes of walking back/forth between.
Its a fail system, knowing your way around is no excuse to keep something like this in place.

There is no secret. That's people wishful thinking, and having it work on a 50/50 chance.
I agree with this change though. This is something that never made a lot of sense and has nothing to do with "skill" in killing the boss. Just a complete and unnecessary time-waster.

I don't see how a dumb-luck Teleporter, that was a bad idea from minute 1, being removed is "silver plattering" it >___>?
I don't think getting to the NM is suppose to be a bigger challenge than the NM itself =.=a? I'm sorry this seems like Masochistic logic, I don't think we need to suffer through bad design to fight something.
Kirin himself is now easier, the idea of a random-spawn adds no challenge to the fight, its just frustrating.

Only reason? Just about everything he drops is of value still. I've never considered the pole all that great. Whether you agree or not the fact is Osode, Quake, Raise III, Abj's, and shining cloth are all reason enough to kill him with a dama ingot and orich ingot on the side for bonus effect. If nothing else you cannot deny the staying power of movement speed items, and those W legs will forever be all the reason in the world you'll ever need to kill Kirin whether it's for yourself, your group, or to merc.
Many people do not care about killing kirin or sky in general any longer. However, many people do care about it and will do it as proven by my constant cursed gear sales for sky abj drops. This change is a welcomed change.

I'm all done in sky atm, but that teleport was annoying as heck. I'm glad it's finally getting fixed, now people will have less annoying stuff to deal with when getting w legs.

Pretty sure that W legs are still going to be wanted and are still the main reason for doing kirin. They are still the only movement speed items for several jobs. Atma is not the sole reason.

Now... If only something could be done to renovate that broken stairwell to get to Byakko as well... Highly doubt it though!

Its there for a reason to make people to through the palace. Some people even die to Faust when trying to go to Byakko.

Calling anything at all in any of the Job related sections "wonderful" is most definitely a matter of perspective. If I was a Com Rep, I'd be trying to forget they exist.

Considering the rep himself just mentioned it was "50/50" i think you're pulling that out of your butt.
I've also done those "rumored times" a thousand times and still hit the pot room. Random luck is random. There is no key. If that "pattern" has worked for you then you're just incredibly lucky. I've heard and tested all "Theories", Even number, Odd numbers, Matching (like yours above) and have gotten both Kirin and pots dozens of times over the 2 years Sky was popular.
While i don't deny your luck, I think it was just luck :|

Probably Not. I would like to see a continued nm system going past kirin. Continue on the nm system with you needing the tital from kirin to continue on the next tier.
Also i would like to see more maps , After all its sky why not add a addional lv up map. (can do same in sea one more floor down). As is with 90 lv's its pretty commonplace to see low groups (6 or way less even) do all nms in sky. (kirin 5~6 bsts non zerg style less 10 mins gtfo ...its cakewalk) So I would welcome the challenge again peronsaly.
I would like to see a event based in sky ! Sea has one named limbus but sky doesnt?!!
Btw, kudos's develoment team I am sick of doing kirin fights having to guide others who miss there right chance and waiting for one person who kept missing there chance to come there think they where like 1-32 attempts lol

I'm presuming this will affect the portal inside the left entrance. Does this mean that the portal inside the right entrance will take you to pots 100% of the time? (You never know, someone might actually want to get to the pot room).

If SE can remove the Kirin randomness.....how much more difficult would it be to alter the randomness on AF3 +1 seal quests?

The difference between changing a porter to get you to Room A instead of Room A or B, and adjusting every seal quest in all 6 zones to have less "Random"(???) Drop rates would probably be severe >__>

It is a straight path to Byakko yes, but what about the doors and Monoliths everywhere? You want those removed too? Would you also like the chance of landing on top of Faust removed? Make it easier to find the coffers for maps perhaps? Would you like not to spend sometimes hours farming for pop items? Oh wait, maybe you buy them? No apologies and no offense, but this whole thing is utterly ridiculous and panders to the "boo hoo, it's too annoying/hard/inconvenient/time consuming for me". mindset.
I find it absolutely amazing that the developers can jump all over such a minor inconvenience, yet completely ignore most of the other, much more useful suggestions. I do not expect them to "fix" everything, and I understand that not everything can be implemented. Just take a good hard look at the jobs forum and show me how many responses are there from Moderators/Developers for example. Barely even an acknowledgement for the vast majority. Disgraceful.

Actually...not apples and oranges.....a random formula is a random formula.....only the result is different.....One drops you in a room....the other drops a seal.........but with seals...there is not only the random formula that decides whether you actually get a seal or not.....there is an additional random that determines what kind of seal you get....I was mostly on about the actual randomness of the drop rate of a seal...not the kind of seal.....

Just goes to show that nothing, no matter how non-controversial, can be said without someone being a jerk about it. I suppose you think that the random teleporter added challenge to the game too.

Actually....i would settle for just a better drop rate on any seal....just to know that i am not spinning my wheels on that quest....when the chances of getting any seal are less than 10%.....what are the chances of getting the seal you want when it is just one of four available seals. I have done the quest for RDM AF3 body almost 200 times and in total have maybe 20 seals to show for my efforts...of those 20 seals...only 3 are RDM.....I had better luck with Kirin...lol

how would that be difficult to do at all? they can control what quest you can flag by what job and or level you talk to an npc at, they have all the character information their side, how hard could it possibly be for them to make it so when you complete an op for the npc to pull your job levels and an assign a %probability based on the level of your jobs? job not unlocked =0% probability, and a job level 90 could= 90%probability,etc etc. assuming the first random to actually get a seal wins.

While i see what you're saying, Its not just "Oh change the NPC to only let you flag a quest and raise drop rate of the seals you want by 90%". You'd firstly have to rewrite every single Seal giving quest to add that 'line' you suggested, Then you'd have to re-do the seal load rates on all of the quests too to add the algorithm to read your jobs and give you seals based on it. While it wouldn't take "forever", it would take a decent amount of time.
Plus, you have to remember some seal quests are actually used to activate other seal quests, and you need them to get "Atma of the Savoir" so making it to where you can't flag certain quests based on jobs (I think thats what you said) would also hinder some people.
I over exaggerated when i said "Really Difficult" I admit, But from a programming stand point, its more difficult than it sounds in text.
I'm trying to think of an analogy thats not crazy....
think of this way you may as well be saying "Rocket science? how is that difficult at all? Build a tube, put Rocket fuel in it, and Let it rip bro". While that looks simple and is basically rocket science, its not that simple.
While i admit, it might not be SUPER DIFFICULT, i think realistically the amount of time it would take to rewrite the quests to add that kind of programming in, would be more difficult than removing NPC redundancies (asking you are you sure 8 times, etc) which they already said was "Too much work to do right now".
I admit I could word better.

the kirin teleport is something that is already implemented and ready to be intalled.
the forum isn't old enough so dev can have implemented any of those idea.

friend said that taking the deeper teleport that land in kirin room was 100% (yes there is several port that land in KR) and it never failed it.
The few time i took em i landed in pot room

Why not just gather up a couple friends and farm the NM that drops the seal? That way you wont have to worry about a 5% chance at getting the seal you want (presuming 1/5 rate on seal from quest, with 4 seals per quest...1/20)
No friends and cant farm NM? Too bad, the seals from quests are a potential bonus when doing fame, not as the end-be-all for the +1 items.

Are you serious? it's not 100%, period (well obviously it will be after maint) i'v done that BS theroy and it failed, even miniutes, odd minutes still failed, just because you got lucky dosn't mean it's "100%"

Ahhhh, there's that dependence thing. I guess then I have been really lucky since I did the quests for my RDM seals for my other four pieces and they are +1 now. So it is too bad, so sad for me because I choose not to depend on other people. I would say you have no idea how to solo. RDM1-90 solo because my WHM was too good not to have at all events. Go figure.

I can personally remember trying to get to Kirin room back in lv.75 cap days as a WHM one time, and counted 28 times I got sent to wrong place. (There were other times I made it in 1 shot, or 2~3, but 28 was a lot.) I was only one in full alliance that didn't get there before everyone got too impatient. Yes, this 100% thing would have been a lot nicer "back in the day" lol. Still the horror memories of it is one reason i still detest "sky".

I played w/ my wife back then. It helped to have someone in the same room who could give you the timing. :3 (Much frantic "GOGOGO!"s being said back then on Kirin nights. lol)
I'd say that using a voicechat program like Skype or Discord or etc. could work too, but now we thankfully don't have to deal with it.
