[Feature Request] Change Race

I felt that this deserved its own thread seperate from the "change hairstyle" thread, as changing one's race is more than just a cosmetic option, and it'd make sense to limit the ability more so than the ability to change hairstyle, whether on an RL timer, or a microtransaction model, or some other limitation.

I know a -lot- of people I've talked to have said they'd be willing to pay RL money if necessary for this option, as per Blizzard's (I think) model. It's not hard to start the game as, say, a Mithra, and then realise you really prefer the elvaan battle animations, or you decide you really enjoy playing mages, and Tarutaru mages are iconic (and adorable!), and so you feel disappointed in a decision made in haste and newbishness!

Does anyone else feel that this would be an excellent addition to the game?

I do. I made my character almost in a jokingly manner. I chose the female tarutaru, with the ugly pig tails. I didn't think I would like the game as much as I do. Now, 6 years later, I wish I had put more thought into it. Before I would use head gear that hid the fact that I run around with green pig tails. But DNC AF3 head doesn't allow me to do that anymore. Others that have known me for awhile didn't know it was like that.
Yes, I would like a way to change my character model.

i vote yes to this, i luv all the races but not enough to make a seperate character slot. i jus want to play 1 character and hav the option to swap races anytime to fit my mood. PLS MAKE THIS HAPPEN SQUARE-ENIX...also iv started over countless number of times jus to play another race and now iv reached appoint to were i jus dont want to loose all that hard work i put n on my character.

I wish the Dev team could as well.

They said on the Twitter account that the Idea for race changing was dismissed because of Equipment issues.... How in the worl will Equipment issues cause the idea to be dismiss..... Yeah ok there is RSE out there but that should not be the only reason to not be able to have a way to change your race.....

It could be like the Guy in Lower Jeuno who can erase your memory to be able to redo the JSE armor quest and in order for him to do it you have to throw all that gear away.... Please Dev Team can you give us more detail in why you can't make this possible.....

I for one feel a lot better as being a Tarutaru then a Elvaan for some inner reasons and that is the reason why I made my Tarutaru Royuki.... Yeah he does not have Adaman Gear but that is what I am liking and I wish he could have.... PLEASE SE!!
