Unable to trade starter gear to Ancestry Moogle after race change

I just changed my race today from Elvaan to Tarutaru. It said that my starter Elvaan gear would automatically change to Tarutaru gear. When that did not happen, it said speak to the Ancestry Moogle. He scanned my inventory and is unable to find any items to trade with him.

- I am trying to trade the Elvaan Bodice, Elvaan Gauntlets, Elvaan F Chausses, Elvaan F Ledelsens for the appropriate Tarutaru starter gear
- They are in my inventory (not mog storage or bag or anything else)
- There is room in my inventory
- The ancestry moogle does recognize any tradeable items in my inventory

Any guidance would be appreciated!

The only equipment the Ancestry Moogle exchanges is the dancer AF and the reforged versions. He does NOT exchange the starter gear. The starter gear can be purchased from an NPC near one of the mog house entrances in each city (In bastok, it's near the Bastok Mines MH entrance, the other cities I'm not sure which one it is).

This is not a bug.

In addition, the race-specific Swimwear from the summer events can be converted to match your race at Item Depository NPCs (https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Item_Depository) (the NPCs that store event items)

There is no NPC that echanges any other race specific gear.

This contradicts the information on the official site, which appears to have the correct information on this.

As stated above, you can buy the race specific starter gear from vendors for a pittance.

Additionally, I'd personally simply re-create the character if it was still rather new, and not even leveled up much since that part is pretty fast nowadays. :]
