"Save My Sister" refuses to advance!

Hello,

I have followed the wiki and all sorts of videos, and this specific quest refuses to advance any further. I'm at my wits end!

Quest) Save My Sister:

I have the Davoi Crest finished. I do not have a Limit Break quest going at the moment. I started the quest after trading Baduin the meat. I then went to the chapel and talked to the NPC behind the counter, triggering a cutscene about Albreckt praying to heal the girl (Baduin's sister). I returned promptly to Baduin, got another cutscene. It started with Albreckt and ended with a little girl wishing Baduin well. I then made my way to Ru'Lude Gardens and to the NPC Neraf-Najiruf, but he refuses to give me the lantern. He is stuck telling me about a recruit that got cursed. I have rezoned, relogged, restarted the game and advanced some more missions, but it refuses to budge!

I'm Rank 5 now, and was just tasked with going to Fei'Yin, as I thought advancing might force the quest to advance, but it has not.

There are a lot of steps to this quest. I would strongly advise backtracking as far back as the previous quest and walking through all the steps to ensure nothing was missed, even if you're entirely 100% sure you didn't miss anything, as this is 99.9% of the time the reason why people get stuck on quests/missions.

But there's another thing you should check. If you changed nations at any point, you may need to change back to the one you were on previously to proceed. I'm uncertain if this is actually necessary but you may need to be on the same nation as you were when you started it.

Additionally the NPC in question is involved in the first Chains of Promathia missions which could interfere with your pogress, so you may want to proceed to at least CoP 1-3 before continuing. That said, according to the guide just talking to him repeatedly should eventually give you the event you need.

I talked to every NPC for a minute straight, repeating dialogue in hopes that would work. Sadly, it did not. I have not changed nations and I haven't started any DLC/Expansions. I'll try backstepping to a prior step, haven't done that one yet. Fingers crossed!

Nope. That didn't work. Are there any other quests that can stop it from advancing? Other than CoP, as I do not have that one started?
