So after reading and rereading the thread, are you indicating that the Augments will replace the current stats.

1) Either the augments had better be better then the current stats or its not worth it.

2) We were under the impression that these would be additions to the current stats. Hard to imagine synergy augments to gear like a Kirin Osode that has +10 all stats getting an augment that has +15 stats. Knowing your track record on crafting items, Seems like that is less likely to happen.

Some clarification would be good from you SE.

I'm fairly sure that's not correct. They probably mean that you can re-write the augmented stats and replace them as many times as you want.

Here is the system as they're describing it:
1) You synergize some kind of augment for some kind of armor, which is capable of replacing any current augments on the armor.
2) You're given a dialogue that says, "Would you rather have this augment than the current one?"
3) You choose yes or no, and either implement the new augment or not.
4) If you don't like any of your augments, you're capable of removing them so you can store the piece with the porter moogles again.

they showed a screenshot of a BH with +6str +1acc +1mp and -2%dt

hq2/3 on augs will be comparable with af3+2 is something they have also said as well as all augs will be positve

they will be rewritable too but you wont be able to change single augs

its all good stuff if you ask me, i am just hoping that nyzul znm sea and salvage gear will be added to the list of augable items

Please retire synergy. I mean whatever only like 5% of the population uses it?

I think its just bad wording, I highly doubt the Augmented stats will replace the old armor stats.

Other wise it wouldn't really Augmenting the armor, It would be rewriting it.

Think we're overreacting on the wording, The last ~3/4 Update notes have had Bad-Wording needing clarification, we can just go ahead and assume this one does too.

Theres a fine line between cautious skepticism and plain stupid. This line has been crossed. The Synergy System will not completely null and overwrite the stats on the old armor. Do i have proof? no, But When I'm confronted with two options, one being really retarded, and the other being realistic, I take the Realistic side.

Combined with Abyss, it's making FFXI die!

This happens with every update note that gets released. People forget previous announcements and common sense, and whip out the crystal ball of doom.

Most of that gear Is Storable what im wondering is after you augment it can it still be stored? If not im not gonna bother with it al all.

Once you augment it, the gear will be unstorable. It's a function of how the storage system works. There's no room in the system to represent potential augments on gear.

1) Either the augments had better be better then the current stats or its not worth it.Seeing that the current stats are 0, most things will be better.

I have only 1 concern and i hope that the Devs read this...... ALL Valks pieces are augmentable... but not FORK .... the one thing i wouldve wanted out of that entire list .... i am so angry about that.... seiryu's sword and byakko's axe are augmentable.... but not one of the nicest looking polearms which is way rarer and harder to get .... lol plz tell me it was meant to be in that list ; ;

your giving ppl credit for actually reading this stuff in the first place??? how many time does update day roll around and 80% of the population dont even bother reading the update notes and walk arround completely oblivious to changes that have happened untill the rest of us have to explain it to them /rage

Obviously this update caters to sky equipment and abjs... the next update will probably be for ToAU stuff, and then Sea stuff, and then maybe even WotG stuff...

Hmmm I Hope SE give us NEW synergy recipes instead of just synergy augments.

I still find it highly ironic that the armors listed for the new synergy update is more or less exclusively melee armors. Not that I'd expect them to be able to make augments for a mage or pet job anyway.

Um... the update covers all abjurations and sky equipment... pretty much most end game equipment released in Rise of Zilart... at least 10-15% of that equipment is mage specific...

And currently almost none of it is used. Only exception is crimson cuisses if you can get them to drop. My dalmatica and the rest of my zenith stuff is in storage. Unless you can put exceptional stats on it, I don't think the ugly green set will ever make a come back. Crimson is more likely.
