i know i sound like a whiny baby here but. is it possible to reduce massively or eliminate losing so much darned master level pts when we die. i mean seriously, im afraid to play the game like i usually like to do because im afraid of dying and losing tons of work that is hard as hell to get when u dont have many friends to help u level.

well no i agree with that. but I take bigger issue with losing full max level exemplar points in level capped BCNMs where you can't even benefit from raise2/3.

i honestly think its rediculous i play the game to have fun, not worry about whether its going to take me 2 or 3 months to get it all back from just a couple fights to have a day off.

I'm not angry with losing EP with deaths since that's been a thing since the game's start.
the EP requirements per level are the issue. if it wasn't such a massive grind for each level, losing 2% to a hom point death wouldn't be heartbreaking.

I never objected to XP loss, but even at level 99, you had to fall in battle a few times before you'd consider taking any time to reclaim the XP. With master levels, by level 30 or so it starts to become hours of time lost if you don't get a raise, and in the 40s, even with a raise it's potentially hours lost depending on the raise and how fast you can grind.
I think the time spent regaining lost EP should be proportional to the time we spent doing it back in the day at 75. Currently it really isn't.
Of course, the best way to fix this would be to just shorten the grind because I think most of us can agree its absurd to the point that a lot of people are willing to bot or party with bots because it's just way too long (You can max level all or almost all jobs in the early days in the time it takes to get 1 job to master level cap).

Airmid's Gorget is a thing you can likely buy on a regular basis.
I always have one on me.
I agree it definitely hurts to die, but a heart attack is a bit much. granted my highest ML job is only 44. I've even HP'd a few times, it's annoying but w/e. losing a ML isn't going to make me lose the ability to equip my gear or anything else disastrous so just eat the loss and back to playing the game's actual content and ignore Apex & Locus mobs exist entirely.

i see where u are going but in the long run, lets say you want to do ambuscade every day and run the risk of dying on vd or d 3-4x a day, and u dont have a r3 gorget or healer to raise 3 u x 7 days thats several master levels, and thats just one activity. imagine dying in odyssea, bcnm, salavage, dynamis d, and not being able to raise because if u do raise u get killed again, and lose more exp. these kinda things happen to us on a regular basis because we are hardcore gamers, and love taking huge risks.

basically what im trying to say is, the loss is tremendous and noone likes to have to relevel their character and we havent even gotten to master level 90 yet which would be 12 master level loss at this rate and makes u not want to play the game anymore, and i love this game.
