In Defiant Challenge The Eldieme Necropolis bug

After hours of research, it appears that this crucial quest is severely bugged specifically on the Eldieme Necropolis side of it. I have found many experienced the same thing in varying degree however it was many years ago. I find myself stuck at level 50, unable to progress due to the "???" in the torch room decided to ignore my request and responded with "There is nothing out of the ordinary here".

Note: I do not have "save my sister" quest nor its item "Ducal's Guard Lantern" Item in my Key Item inventory.

2nd Note: I have been farming Lich for Ancient Papyrus with Lion for the past 6 hours, I have yet to encounter the drop, I have grown anxious that it won't ever drop due to the bug.

3rd Note: I have also just attempted Circumspection from Ground Tome ,but to no avail.

Now what do? :confused:

Update: I am an absolute dumb f*, for whatever reason its in my mog storage. Unsure if it would drop before taking the quest, however I do not recall going there to store items after talking to Maat. Many apologies to those who seen this post and thank you for all your time. I am now unsure how to delete this thread or if it is possible.

Are you certain that you don't already have an Ancient Papyrus?

Thank you for your response, and yes, I found out far too late, it was in my Mog safe all along. Not that I recall going to my mog safe after Maat.

You know about the itemsearch command right? type /itemsearch "Item name as it would appear in the inventory" with the quotes. This will tell you which bag or bags you have the named item in.
