Happy New Year, adventurers!

I hope all of you are doing well as we welcome the new year to come. For the game's first update in 2026, we’ll be focusing on battle content adjustments. Based on your feedback, we are seeking to create a gaming environment that is both easier to play and also more challenging. We hope you enjoy the changes to come this year!

Without further ado, I'd like to cover the first few areas to be updated for 2026.


■ Updates to Limbus

As part of these updates, we are adding a new kind of points that are based on how much damage you inflict against the notorious monsters.

This points system is a direct response to your request for a reward structure tied to actions such as inflicting damage on the notorious monsters within Limbus. Once you have earned the required number of points, you will be able to open one additional treasure chest. This will increase the pace at which you can earn the matter needed to reforge your equipment. Plus, these points do not expire, so you can keep them until they're needed. Additionally, the Grace buffs within Limbus increase incrementally depending on the total number of treasure chests opened in the World, so the more that are opened, the stronger the effect will be.

These points are awarded not only when you inflict damage on the notorious monster, but when your party members do as well. I recommend you form a party and take on the monsters together if you're using a job with lower attack strength.


■ Dynamis – Divergence updates

We are removing the EXP loss that occurs when knocked out in the shared area.

Considering that the content is based on entering the field solo, I feel like there may be occasions when there are no other adventurers present in the shared area, or where you may have trouble with the battles depending on your job. Therefore, we are adding this feature as a follow-up to the December 2025 update that reduced the area of effect damage inflicted on monsters outside of the main target.


■ Adjustments to Besieged

Before we add the higher beastmen level (Content Level 119) as planned, we will be making some adjustments to the beastmen's advance on Al Zahbi.

The way things currently stand in Besieged, well-equipped players are essentially taking out the enemy at the spawn points, meaning that very few of them actually reach the city gates. As such, we feel that even if the beastmen level is increased, the location where the battle is actually fought is unlikely to change.

If things go as we anticipate, players without the proper equipment will end up joining the battle at the enemy spawn point in order to participate. However, they might not be prepared to deal with the monsters' attacks and will be forced to simply watch the battle instead.

The powerful sphere granted to players near the five Serpent Generals is helpful in this regard, but since each of the generals is in their own specific location, there's nothing to do but wait until the gate is breached if you wish to take advantage of it. Of course, if too many beastmen troops enter the city, it's possible that Al Zahbi could fall fairly quickly.

Therefore, we plan to make it so that you can benefit from the power of the Serpent Generals' spheres while also engaging in battles against the beastman army.


■ Ambuscade updates

・Volume 1: Medusa (Item Level 119 & up)
・Volume 2: Doll (Item Level 117 & up)

In Volume 1, Medusa uses various attacks, but you need to be wary of her line of sight. Depending on the special attack used, you can prevent any negative effects by either making eye contact or by turning your back to her. It's wise to check the specific response for each attack before attempting to counter it. Also, she is weak against piercing damage, so make sure to plan your equipment accordingly!

For the Doll in Volume 2, it's easier if you defeat the other monsters that accompany it first. Use blunt attacks for the magic pots, while attacks capable of landing multiple hits are effective for the spheroids.


■ January events and campaigns
In addition to the version update, there are various other things happening in January.

The stylish Suzaku Cap is being added to the featured items!

Also, as a special New Year's bonus, we're increasing the points you receive for your 15th login to 700 points from the standard 500 points. Be sure to trade them for all kinds of items.

- New Year's Nomad Mog Bonanza 2026

Following on from the Bonanza pearl sale at the end of last year, we plan to announce the results and award the prizes soon.

We've received numerous requests to shorten the time period between the sales and prize redemption periods, so we plan to respond accordingly. Furthermore, we're considering the possibility of holding this event one additional time each year.

Finally, starting with this update, we've added a new ♪Bubble Crab mount to the Rank 1 prize lineup that constantly produces bubbles while riding it. Going forward, we plan to make even more adjustments and additions to this event as well as its content.

- Upcoming events

Did you enjoy the Shami's Trove event at the start of the year? We are thinking about holding the event again in the near future, so keep an eye out if you weren't able to take full advantage of it this time!


In addition to the version updates, we are also getting ready for the upcoming login campaigns and seasonal events. We'll be announcing additional details once we get closer to the event dates, so keep an eye out for them. It is our goal to continue updating the game so that you can enjoy even more exciting adventures to come in the year ahead!

We're still in the heart of winter, but the rest of the team and I are looking forward to 2026 with plenty of passion and vigor.
