View Full Version : Mireu problem at heavy populated servers

While these problem starts to appear on certain stuff, even with Reisenjima entrance as well, Mireu would be the prime example since all able players would really want to take dips on this rare popped Domain Invasion NM, hence game client usually would suffer dropping frame rate to even a mere 1.

But this post is about the most recent population situation, with mine on Bahamut quite recently also marked as no longer viable for character creation due to very high population after Asura (something us Bahamut citizen already well aware since more than a decade in fact). Now I can't really say much on Asura situations or any less but still bigger populations than Bahamut, but here the situation has been getting really worse whenever Mireu pops.

Basically, & especially, if one came (really) late to the zone, the NM not even able to rendered on screen, thus no way to even click on to engage. There is solution someone shared, by running away like 30-50 yalms then came back & it "might" get rendered.

Unfortunately, there's already occasion where it never did, or even doing the risk of leave then re-entering causes one missed it entirely, only saving grace is if someone did actually cared to yell percentage of it's HP left. And yes, very well aware of the "PS2-era engine limitations", but personally this would be one of things need to be prioritize to have NM always rendered on priority.

Coming from FF14 experiences, especially with rank A or even S, in the past they do receive similar problems, peaked during Shadowbringer expansion, and finally devs listened after so many cried over official forum & now those hunt mobs does have priority render to make them always pop above other else even when the zone are totally capped on amount of players can be in there. Hope similar treatment can also be implemented on Mireu as well. Also aware that even being in the closed instance seemed to let all players inside still getting progressed rewards regardless engaged or not, but where's the fun in that?

Really hope these problem will have a better solution in (very) near future.

But even if you don't get to engage mireu, you still get credit for the kill. If you didn't, I could see this as an issue, so does it really matter if you arrive late and not get to attack it?

While it's true that I do get progressed rewards while in Mireu zone, since its pop not very often, kinda not risking to find out if I really got end reward when finished, especially I did missed one while trying to do those 30+ yalms retract & return when that particular fight back then has no one willing to share it's % left. Also like I said, kinda felt bad just standing there & just leech it.

There's an easy solution. Transfer servers. That's why the high pop servers were closed to begin with. If you do it, and other people do it, the game experience will be better for everyone.

Alhanelem, I am genuinely surprised checking my thread to see someone who blocked me still bother making a post here. Seriously, grow a bone, have some dignity. When you're saying blocking me, intend doing that all the way. Do remember I already said blocking you back so I don't have to check whatever "wisdom" you're trying to convey on many threads in this forum.

I mean... seriously... are you really craving for attention that bad?

Whether you're checking this post or not, I seriously don't care, but again... seriously... have some dignity, for pete's sake... -_-

I mean... seriously... are you really craving for attention that bad?So you're under this misguided notion that I'm "craving attention."

I post because I have something to say about a game I love and still play. That's not a crime and I will not stop just because someone doesn't like me.

If you want to reply to a post... discuss the topic. Otherwise, it is you who is seeking attention. After all, this is the whole reason I put you on my ignore list. You always make personal attacks instead of discussing the topic, just because somebody has a post count.

Perhaps the real reason you're so upset at seeing my post is because you know I'm right. The whole reason the biggest servers were locked is to reduce the load on the servers by spreading the population. In a content such as the one discussed in this thread, where significant numbers across the server gather, the load increases exponentially with the number of users as it has to send more information about more people to more other people.

As for blocking... I use it as a red flag. When I see a post that's hidden I know it's from someone who has a history of making personal attacks or otherwise brings negativity to the table as a matter of habit. But that doesn't mean that all of their posts are guaranteed to be bad, and if they start a thread and the topic interests me, I kind of have to reveal it to see what the post was about. It doesn't hide topics in the index and I don't remember every person I blocked so I don't know they are when I click on it. And I don't see making a reasonable, logical reply to a thread is "seeking attention" or lacking in "dignity."
