Trust Ciphers and Mounts

Could you make it so that we can’t obtain trust ciphers and mounts that we already have? I just wasted my Mog Pell (Ochre) because I didn’t see that I already had a certain trusts in the long list of trusts. This has also been an issue when claiming log in points. I have purchased trusts that I thought I didn’t have, only to find out the npc won’t accept them because I already have it. I think the same issue happens with mounts. There is no reason to obtain a cipher or mount if you already have it in your trusts or mounts lists. You can’t send them to a mule, you can’t turn it in for a different trust or mount. Please “idiot-proof” these items for idiots like me…so I stop wasting my ochre Mog Pell and login points.

You could also just check your trust and mount lists before buying, just saying.

They are some pretty big lists. Pretty easy to miss one, especially since they aren't in alphabetical order.

You can sort the list any way you want. If you don't do so, they're in the order you aquired them.

Unfortunately, even FF14 still facing these issues, main example are glamours. There's already several occasions where I was trying to buy PvP gears just to spend my nearly capped points, beforehand searched & result windows says none, but some storage options especially glamour dresser are marked with (?). What's worse is that every time you logged out then relogin next time, those results especially dresser will ends up most with (?), even though you just previously checked each storages at previous login. And sadly, that's how I ended up wasting PvP points buying gear sets I already had stored in dresser.

There are "external" ways to help alleviate those, but even those would also not perfect as well & can miss few stuff. So unfortunately, only way is to double check in list or spaces if already has them, especially when dealing with rare token exchanges. Final advice is probably try contacting GM & see if they could help reverse that, though don't get your hopes up since iirc those services only limits like 1-time for ever & probably on a very special case.

And yes, in FF11 case, had my share of getting extra trusts already had. At least fortunately my trust collection has been completed for years, including that very annoyingly long of a certain trust in latest paid expansion, hence no need to worry unless SE planned to add new ones in future. :rolleyes:
