Your quest for Vana'bout regarding Sparks of Eminence (VBD)
You acknowledged as an in game bug and did emergency maintenance to reduce the total rewards. However, you've completely failed to register the issue. People are aiming to get #1 Ranking on the record boards you added to this series of quests. Without being able to complete this quests these people including myself will never be able to achieve 1st place in the rankings. It's not from a lack of trying, it's because you've physically made it impossible to do so.
I'm sorry to take it in this direction but when it comes to online video games we pay a premium price to maintain FFXI services. Majority of your dedicated players are essentially forced to buy all 6 extra wardrobes at an even higher premium. We deserve better from management.
Vana'bout last round it was apparent from the moment I read the quest about taking X damage in Ambuscade how much that was going to congest being able to do that quest. However you blamed that one "Server Congestion". Yes, in a way it was a blessing with all these gaming websites publicizing how FFXI in 2025 is still popular; that's great. However the fact still remains Asura is still on lock down. We have a community here where the whole idea of it is come here, everything is available. That's no longer the case. Finding items to complete REMA weapons now can be a nightmare. RMTs are moving to new servers causing you to lock down another. People are losing the identity of their servers because of what you've done as there wasn't an issue before. You need to Make Asura Great Again! It's the necessary evil to keep all the other servers innocent.
You might be thinking, "How about we just don't do Vana'bout at all!?" I WOULD ABSOLUTELY WELCOME THAT! It's as if you fail to understand very basics of the game a normal player would immediately recognize. I'd much rather the Developers be working hand in hand on making Limbus the best Content Vana'diel has ever seen and you working on making Omega and Ultima some of the best 18 man content we've ever seen and get to work on and enjoy that!
I appreciate you did 'SOMETHING' to address the issue but you didn't appreciate the true issue players will be upset with. I'm just asking that you do better, the players who log in everyday and have been playing for YEARS deserve better! Hire on some play testers or, have volunteer positions. There's so much passion for FFXI I'm sure finding someone to volunteer time to make sure mistakes like this doesn't happen again will be so easy to find.
I'm sorry for the negativity, it's just Final Fantasy XI is the greatest game of all time (hands down). Having all these recent issues is not normal and something we're not accustomed to. Without question every player strives for perfection even if that means going above and beyond working tirelessly to get just that +1 on an item. For the entirety of this game it's been backed up by perfection from the developers. We're not seeing that as of late and why I find this so concerning a trend.
