I have no clue how many times I have seen people flee hacking, yes at beyond flee speed, and no it was not "an instance of lag" and I called a GM. All I ever get back are dumb auto messages about how I should report this to the Special Task Force, so I do. Then nothing ever happens. Does this special task force actually do anything at all? It would be alot easier to control 3rd party tools if SE just gave GMs the power to ban people again when they can clearly see someone hacking. Sending some task force a message about how some one hacked isn't gunna do anything. Having a GM show up and actually see them do it would make it much easier to just instantly ban these cheaters. Or does SE really not care at all that people are able to run across a zone in 2 seconds?

Of course not.

This isn't even a rage thread. I am just curious as to what SE people have to say on the matter. Because in my experience the Special Task Force doesn't do anything at all. I was just talking to a GM who has helped me before many times who made it pretty clear that GMs in game can't do anything and that the Special Task Force is the only thing that handles cases of third party programs.

Why doesn't SE just make the STF something like GMs in game where we could call them instead of leave a message and never hear anything about it ever again. Getting a response would be really nice instead of just being completely ignored.

yes, they like to ban alt accounts, mule accounts and call them rmt.

i think "STF" is a code name for a program, i do not even think it is people.

Sometimes its hard to investigate these matters. They probably get dozens or hundreds of calls a day/week about "so and so is flee hacking!" etc. They have to sift through them all and see which ones are legit or not.

Unfortunately i don't think they have the man hours to watch every single person/report sent in for flee hacking, So its hard to "Catch them in the act".

Give it time, I'm sure it'll catch up to them, If not... Send another report >.>

It's actually pretty easy to catch them in the act. When a gm call is placed actually respond to it instead of just auto message. When I place GM calls they have all the info you can fit in there, who, when, where, and any other details. It is really easy to see some one flee hacking because its faster than flee speed every time.

GM is not STF.

Yeah I know. What I'm saying is SE needs to implement STF into the game not on a website.

Flee hacking has been going on for years. Reports made to either GM's or the STF go pretty much ignored as far as we know. The STF can't even bother to even acknowledge the complaints received. All they can ever say is that they don't discuss individual players reports/accounts, which is understandable, but, there is never any feedback on the STF site about anything. I understand GM's receive hundreds of reports daily, and I have no clue about the STF numbers, but an acknowledgement at least would be appropriate.

Yes they take care of stuff. Usually only RMT related.

I have yet to see any actual players suspended or banned for Flee Hacking, Claim Botting, Automated Play, etc; but I have seen many many many harvesters, and farmers disappear.

I find it funny that a member of a group is usually called a unit. STFU members lol.

When there are so many people reporting others as "hacking" when they are actually using nexus cape, /thf, stacking sprinters+ movement speed etc, it is a lot of bullshit to sort through. Some people are still too dumb to realize that things exist and are jamming up gm/STF reports with this crap, and it gets worse with every new item SE releases to make travel easier.

The problem with reporting anything to the STF is that you have to be out of game to do it, then you have to write up a huge form, it's stupid. I said repeatedly during all that brosale spam garbage that we need a means of simply instant forwarding a tell or complaint IN GAME. I don't feel like working that hard to report a cheater, so I don't. Oh, and before a community rep say this couldn't be done feasibly THAT WOULD BE A LIE!!! The STF simply doesn't want to deal with that volume of complaints.

As to trying to report something like this to a GM? Airlines have shorter hold times for customer service. It is the job of GMs to monitor gameplay and enforce the rules, but the GMs I've seen simply refer you elsewhere, they investigate nothing as to cheating, at least based on the results. It's called "not wanting to do your job".

Seriously, the STF halfway accomplished the RMT erradication, the age of the game and the number of players who have quit took care of the rest of it.
