I'm not in possession of the temporary key item "Maiden Phantom Gem", nor am I given the option to acquire it from the HTMB gem vendor. When I attempt to enter the Conflux the portal in Selbina doesn't give battlefield options, it just tells me that "There appears to be a tear in the fabric of space". I've cleared the battlefield dozens (hundreds) of times before, so I'm almost certain I have access.
