Was doing some research on past FFXI events, and after some sleuthing, came across this Honolulu Star Bulletin news article from April 28th, 2005. Uploaded to the internet archive for posterity, but wanted to share with y'all as well. I thought it was super cool reading about how the entire Honolulu community came together to make the event possible, and how the FFXI team chose this location because of their positive experience during the short time in which they had offices down there.
