Steps:
1) Enter the Feretory via any Odyssean Passage. The one I used in this instance is in Port Bastok at (K-12)
2) Go to the Customization menu and change to either a Ladybug or Gold Ladybug.
3) Go to Abilities, then Monster Skills and hover over Spiral Burst.
4) The end part of the description mentions "and removes all detrimental effects afflicting him." - in reference to the Ladybug you control.
5) Performing the /slap emote on yourself as a Ladybug confirms the monster's gender as Female.
