Sortie 9-Boss + Aminon Strategy Guide

This guide consolidates tested strategies, equipment sets, route planning, and role coordination shared by multiple experienced players and community threads.

Different sections may represent different party compositions, playstyles, or stages of strategy development. Where newer testing or updated methods supersede older approaches, the newer recommendations are noted accordingly.

The goal of this thread is to provide a practical, organized reference for groups running Sortie while preserving credit to the original players and discussions that contributed to these strategies. Community corrections, testing, and improvements are always welcome.

Sterk has also completed a 5-man 9-boss run using:

MNK / COR / RDM / GEO / BRD

The MNK setup uses capped Subtle Blow, Hoxne Ampulla, Penance, coordinated Absorb-TP, and a TP-efficient FLEX DD to suppress enemy TP generation while allowing MNK to remain the primary sustained damage dealer.

Personally prefer: Aminon > E > D > C > B > A > G > H > F > if bitzers were amazing, F reive.
Requires E shard & fragments 1 2 3 4 prior to entry.

For shard farm, between E & D we get A shard/metal & D shard. C shard right outside the C boss teleporter on skeletons & B shard by the closed door in Umbrils. a 3 step skillchain typically erases w/e mob you're fighting and those not solo'ing mobs can help by doing MB procs.
benefits: All SPs used are up for Aminon and bard SPs will be back by the time you get to A boss in case B boss erased some songs. Also, since F & H are at the end, getting bad bitzer placements has less of an impact on timing throughout the run.
GEO will have Bolster back by F boss so you can literally lock it in place. If you prefer, you could swap F & H and slow him further with bolster instead.
PLD can just save Invincible for H, and if Wild Card gets it back at F, yet again making tanking those two effortless. (no Invincible at Aminon since enmity control never seems to be an issue there due to slow WS frequency)

For getting your time down, try to reduce downtime everywhere possible where you're just standing around casting buffs. Where possible, integrate re-buff in while getting shards or fighting bosses. You want to be either moving or fighting as close to the whole 1 hour as possible inside.
A short wait at F & H for re-Soul Voice songs or for Bind > gravity2 chainspell are a necessary time loss.

Don't forget to bring medicine: Remedy x3~12, Panacea x3~12, Sneak Oil x6~12, Prism Powder x6~12, Icarus Wing x1, Frontier Soda x4+.
Remedy gets rid of silence, poison, or paralyze.
Panacea gets rid of all non-remedy enfeebles aside from plague at the same time.
sneak/invis powders in case you miss a PLD's AoE casts. 6 minimum is just for extreme caution.
Icarus Wing for 26~49% at aminon where it's least likely to WS you since it will hold TP to 2k during that window.
Frontier Soda is regain+5 for 120 seconds very useful at Aminon, could use it elsewhere if you're typically getting just shy of 1k TP on a regular basis but I never do... so i don't bother elsewhere.
