My character is stuck in Rabao. Every time I try to log on the game shuts down. I cannot log into her but am able to log in my alts on the same account. It's just my main and it's just Rabao. Any solutions out there?

Check the XI files in the file checker. Something corrupted is my best guess with lack of information.
Log in from a second pc and move from the zone

Thank you @Uroah. I ended up doing a total re-install, what a headache! I tried everything and had no luck with any avenue I tried. I really appreciate the quick response and I did try logging on another pc. It's like my main character got corrupted. Idk how or why.

Just to make sure: By "shuts down" the game actually closes up (instead of for example getting disconnected)?
Does it just disappear suddenly, or is there (perhaps additionally) an error dialog of any kind that appears?
Would also still run the file checks (again) just to be extra sure, if haven't yet, though a clean install of course should be good.
Note that there are two different checks that can be run: One from the PlayOnline Viewer main menu (for both, the viewer and Final Fantasy XI), and another one that can be triggered via the Final Fantasy XI Config Utility (it will run at the time an update check runs, just before launching the game).
Probably a long-shot, but in addition to a different machine, it could be worth trying a different internet connection as well, if possible.
Additionally, another long-shot, could contact a Gamemaster in-game on a different character and see if they can move the other somewhere else, or/and look into it on their side.
Good luck!

You can contact a GM on another character and explain the situation to them, or file a support ticket. If they tell you to post on the forums, tell them you've already done that.

No you can't, they will refuse to do anything about an issue on another character.

As long as it's on the same account, it has happened. You can't ask someone else to help you, but another character on your own account isn't someone else.

A GM doesn't have access to your character list per account.
