Can you add this to the rules please Devs?

There are a lot of threads here that are almost, if not exactly, the same topic. I mean, each time there is a thread about what is going on with this update, like Job Adjustments, there has to be 6-7 threads created trying to talk about the Job Adjustments that were mentioned.

Also, there has to be at least 4 threads talking about spirits and adjusting them, both in the General Discussion and the Summoner subforums. Isn't that kindof redundant?

Can you make it a rule stating that if a thread already exists and is still being talked about, any new threads created on the same topic automatically gets deleted?

If possible they could do thread mergers. If one has valid points that the other does not make, just merge the thread posts together as apposed to deletion

I'm not saying that two different threads can't both have good ideas....

I'm just saying that if one has been up for at least a day, is still being talked on, being that it has several posts on it, and is near the top of the list, and somebody creates a new thread talking about the exact same thing, the new thread should be deleted because the subject is already easily accessible and being talked about at that time.

This would take full time monitoring of the forums. I'm pretty certain that the moderators do not constantly check the forums for new threads. Also, once someone adds a new thread on the same topic, it sometimes becomes the one everyone starts to post in. How do you make the call on that one?

The solution to spirit threads is pretty obvious though. Just make a developers post regarding them.

The issue itself is almost older than the game. Only other issue that comes near in age, is the "Why are there nothing to charm?" question that has been around at endgame for almost as long. (And ironically is just as little spoken off because all BST players have already given up, just how all SMNs more or less have on spirits)

I've even requested it since 2006 for the annual vana-fests questions... but you only get popular questions through there. Like "How do I beat AV?" (4 years in a row, since asking once and getting bad answers isn't enough). Or my favorite "Will there be new avatars?"... why ask for new ones when we have 8 spirits that would be "new" if they were fixed?

I guess the most ironic part is that they are "fixing" kings spawns before they fix spirits. It is kind of like hell has frozen over... and it still is too early for spirit adjustments. Guess I'll go back to waiting until Heaven sells child porn. Maybe then something good will happen.

Pretty sure one of the community reps said they wanted to hear feedback so this is people giving feed back....sure its kinda lame some threads are somewhat similar...SE does not post in the job thread so they really not gonna do nothing there.

So let people post there idea and what they want as much as they can there so the Dev team understands "Hey this is what we want or interested in."

And you have to expect multiple avatars threads....come on now its summoner job.

Heck while your at it, its not in the rules but was asked nicely in one of the stickies, lets have SE check posts for all the derailed treads, bunch of them in the Smn section too!

My guess is that this idea has been presented to the developers, but has been determined (while a great idea) to be too expensive to implement.
