When Besieged starts it warps you to one of a set number of locations.
If you're in a party this is incredibly annoying since it splits you up, why not warp the whole party together?
This is something that really should be changed, it just makes the content super annoying.

have 1 person in zone and the rest waiting outside until ...2 minutes after the cutscene starts (pretty sure).

Why would splitting the party up matter in this content? Everybody immediately runs to the area in front of the gate and fight there, and it is not like some content that need dedicated party.

Because all the gates are closed, and it's just a pain to come back together.
Port the whole party together.
It made more sense long ago, it makes less sense to have that random warp system in the game in 2025.

I mean the difficulty is still ramping up, it may become more significant later.

I cannot fathom a reason you would warp all players in a party to separate parts of the map, it's infuriating.
If a group is in a party either warp them together as a party, or stop warping people around. If players have to struggle to get back together before even fighting anything, and the even only lasts 5-10 mins it's barley worth doing.

I cannot fathom a reason you would warp all players in a party to separate parts of the map, it's infuriating.The answer is simple: The script that does this does not look at parties. It just takes a list of all PCs in the area and moves them to random designated spawn locations. It was likely written this way for speed/efficiency to limit load on the server- checks for who is in a party with who would slow down the processing substantially.
