Would be nice to be able to trade in any Job card for the exchange of 1 instead of same job per exchange. it'll be useful if someone is trying to gear up a different job!

I'm stuck with a bunch of 4 3s, 2s and 1s. instead of dropping them, exchanging them all together would be cool!

no job card goes to waste!

may as well just remove them all and make it one universal currency then.

That would also be great, having cards drop based on the job you take in made sense when Omen was hot content and you'd actually make parties or alliances to go do it on a regular basis; now, people are largely going to just go in with small groups and have one party member on a job that can mill monsters quickly while everyone else is just standing around doing next to nothing because they were forced to be on the job that they use for some other content. Plus, cards from trove are a thing now, and getting just one is worse than nothing if you need five of a kind to make them useful.

That said, your reaction sounds like you read that as "let us use any job's cards for any armor upgrade"; pretty sure the request is "let us trade in five of any card for one card of our choice, instead of five of the same card."

AF job cards are tame. there's only 22 of those.

Dynamis divergence is nuts. 220 reforge items + 22 job crystals + 22 weapons + 7 neck pieces + 4 cooking ingredients.
wtf dynamis divergence? need more than 3 mules to bazaar all the things from that one event.

SE just improved the trade in from 10:1 to 5:1. They also reduced the cost to make 5 AF+3 pieces from 240 cards down to 76. They did this about 2 months ago (after Omen being released about 9-10 years ago)

What more do you want? Would you like SE to build a laser beam to scratch your bum from space?

as Zenion said, he probably means trade 2 WHM cards & 3 COR cards for 1 PUP card instead of being locked into 5x COR > 1 PUP.

it's a good suggestion, i went into left field with my earlier comment because i think relic needs adjusting far more than artifact from the perspective of inventory conservation.
Either way, you can just stockpile it all on a same account mule and grab what you need when it's needed.

Actually, you know what, two birds with one stone. What if trading cards to Coelestrox let you store them as a currency that you could then spend five of to buy an paragon job card of your choice? Frees up inventory space, simplifies the trade-in process, solves the mix-and-match problem. You'd still be stuck hoarding cards for jobs you actually want the upgrade for, but the alternative would be introducing 22 separate currencies to store card types at a 1:1 ratio to withdraw and trade in later.

I get that, but if you can effectively convert cards at random like this, it largely eliminates the point in collecting cards for a specific job which was the original design intention- to do work on a job in order to make that job stronger.

the 5:1 ratio would still exist, so you point is not valid. Just means you could trade 1+1+1+1+1 for 1 instead of waiting for 5. Useful since A.M.A.N. Trove gives you a bunch of single random cards.

so you point is not valid. Doesn't invalidate the point. It still pushes things in the direction of the kind of cards you're collecting being semi-irrelevant.

This game has massively bloated inventory. I have a lot of jobs, so I hate to throw 1s away, but keeping them is a waste of precious inventory.

I love the option of having Colo store them like Rem's tales.

you can get a 1$/mo character to store them on if that starts being an issue. i do that for a lot of stuff like cards, abjurations, dyna NM pops/drops, abyssea drops, dynaDiv mats, etc.

I'm totally down for a storage system. An idea to go with that is to have it let you pick a job, and it will automatically exchange whenever you reach the 5 card threshold with the cards you store.

Its just the intention of the card exchange was avoiding having excess cards go completely to waste- it's meant to still be preferable to use the relevant job if possible.

The cards being able to be sent to an alt (mainly because of AMAN trove) is great, but also add scales to being able to be sent. They come from the same content.
