Dark Matter Campaign is a good repeated campaign, but it needs some changes to keep interest in it.
A good way to do this, would be to allow one stat to be locked and then continue to work on others, for instance if you have a piece of gear with +2 refresh you could lock that stat and then try to get better stats in the other slots.
This would make a piece of gear that is currently capped out and unable to be changed anymore, as a path of progression again.

I could get behind this with one modification: each "lock" makes subsequent rerolls cost more rolls (preferably just in a simple "costs one additional roll for each stat locked").
If doing multiple locks on a piece isn't viable for whatever reason, a single lock + future rerolls while that lock is in place costing two rolls, or one roll plus some other currency, is also fine.

I'd agree with this, otherwise itt'd be a little too good. It's not unreasonable for help against the RNG to cost more.

Oseem in general is a downgrade to Divainy-Gamainy's augment system; rather than rerolling every stat on an item (whether with dark matter or regular stones) it would be nice to target just one of the five available augment slots with each roll.

If the dark matter campaign is going to be constant feature now, increase the caps on the stats you can add with it. A lot of people have already capped gear on this, and increasing the cap will make everyone want to get into it again.
Phalanx 1-5 = 1-6
Weaponskill DMG 1-10% = 1-12%
refresh 1-2 = 1-3
etc
Maybe even add some new stats to the mix, such as trust boosts -1-10% dmg to trusts or 1-2 refresh for trusts etc. This would make it even better for casual players.
Alternatively boost the dark matter campaign, to give increased stats above normal to retain its importance as a campaign above and beyond normal features.
