The funniest thing that Final Fantasy could implement in the game would be Unlimited Cross-server Odyssey party matchmaking for an unlimited number of uses. Basically, enter Odyssey with an alliance while in possession of a Moglophone through cross-server matchmaking.

FFXI doesn't have the infrastructure for cross server anything. and it doesn't have a matchmaking system at all. This game was built with the tech of 25 years ago and it would have to be rebuilt from the ground op to have things like this.

That would be pure chaos, and I would be here for the reddit/ AH stories.
However, you can't pay me to do Odyssey, Sortie, or any of the other end-game -esque events they add. I did ground kings, Sky, Dyna...You name it.....Last time I did something like that was in 2013, via Delve.....never did anything endgame related since......lol....
Current endgame is way too convoluted; not here for it. Rant over, I digress..........Cross server would be something special, notwithstanding limitations.
