Frequency: Every time
Character Name: Buukki
Race: Galka
World: Asura
Main Job: Red Mage, Lv.99
Support Job: Ninja
Area and Coordinates: Abyssea - Empyreal Paradox
Party or Solo: Both
NPC Name: Shinryu
Monster Name: Shinryu
Steps:

1. Enter "The Wyrm God" High-Tier Mission Battlefield on Very Difficulty
2. Wear appropriate Treasure Hunter + gear
3. Defeat "Shinryu"
4. Repeat 317 times, according to my personal log
5. Crepuscular Helm, Mail, Cloak, Knife, and Scythe do not drop under any circumstances.

There is something seriously wrong with the distribution with the drops in this battlefield and it needs to be reviewed instead of moved to "Not a Bug". It should not be possible that the items are this rare after so many repeated clears on the Very Difficult setting. Please review the drop pool for the aforementioned items and confirm if these are set properly, because based on my findings and the feedback of many other players, this drop rate appears to be set lower than intended.

People have gone this many times without getting defending rings from KB, it's not a bug. You can /random 10000 times and not see every number come up.

And I could be mistaken here, someone can feel free to chime in, but my understanding is TH does not affect BC drops.

More than one person with the worst luck in the world has come here claiming something didn't drop it must be a bug, but it's not.

317 times without a drop seems excessively unlucky, especially when it takes 30 merits to repeat the fight, more than any other HTBF. Technically possible but highly unlikely; if it's intended to be that low, it shouldn't be. I wonder if anyone else who has done the fight recently has gotten a drop.

317 times without a drop seems excessively unlucky,Let's just say the drop is 1%. Even if you do it 100 times, it's not a guarantee you recieve the item. You can easily do far more than that without getting it because each attempt is an independent event. This is just incredibly bad luck.

Unless nobody anywhere on any server has these items, one person's bad luck isn't an indicator of a bug. Between thousands of attempts by potentially thousands of players, there should be at least a handful of drops.

You're not wrong. But I agree with the original poster that a second-look at how this drop rate is calculated wouldn't hurt and still benefit the entire playerbase. Since this battlefield was first released, SE did make some adjustments to other random number generators, like Sortie Earrings and R/EX items that give random meats, eggs, ingredients, etc.

In my opinion, it deserves a second look to be confirmed that it's working as intended. If SE could even share us with the TH ratios or give us any insight, it would save us all a lot of frustration.

The thing is, the drop rate is as low as intended. It's just lower than you want it to be.

You want it in 100 drops. They want you to have it in 10,000 drops.

I agree that the drop rate seems to be set based on the original fight's drop rate IF you did not do physical WS !! proc.
No one ever got the good drop without doings procs because the drop rate effectively did not exist.
They should adjust the drop rate to be as if we were doing !! every time or add a proc system to replicate the effect on drop rate like the original version had.

People on the server having the item doesn't say much, since they also drop from trove, and there have been changes to random number generation systems since the HTBF was released; we've got pretty recent evidence that a change in one place can cause unintended changes in others (potpourri shop breaking), how can anyone be sure without actually looking that the drop rates in a battlefield weren't nudged downward when sortie earrings and other miscellaneous drop tables were rebalanced?

Does the HTBF fight even have a proc system? I've done it about 100 times and never saw a proc at all.

the HTMB does not, however the original fight does.
I'm just pointing out they may have missed that aspect when creating this fight with regard to the drop tables rarity.

I suppose that's a possibility.

I agree. An open question for the Dev Team:

Is the red/yellow/blue proc system from the original fight intentionally left out from this version? Would such an omission negatively impact the drop ratios?

Thank you!
