I know that quite a few of you were probably grumbling about this and asking "WTF were they thinking, nobody does this crap!"

But this Vana'bout lit a fire in me. I got to do some official matches for the first time in over a decade. Yeah, there were a few ppl who went afk and just wanted their plaudits, and yeah, especially uncapped is hilariously broken since the damage adjustments don't account for all the new progression mechanics that have been added in the years since. But we got to beat each other up, have a laugh, and even get something resembling a reward for it.

I hope this happens again, but more importantly, considering somebody at SE thought to include this, I hope that they consider making some minor updates that would improve things quite a bit:

1) Add vanity gear as rewards that can be exchanged for Ballista Points (Raise the cap on points but eliminate or limit the copper voucher exchange)
2) Eliminate the 30 and 40 level caps and replace them with 75, and 99 without job points/master level
3) Revise the damage scaling. Our HP hasn't increased anywhere near as much as damage has increased, so most weapon skills do way too much damage in uncapped ballista, even with the current PvP adjustments.

Regardless, I got a nice blast from the past, we had one game with more than 20 people, even here on Shiva, and it made me very happy. Thank you for creating the oppertunity.

Also summoner could use an adjustment (I know, surprise surprise right.)

I considered a bug report for this but eh, it's Ballista, who cares. Melee attacks have increased range, right, so it's harder to run away. Avatars get that too, which means they'll engage from further away than normal. Far enough, in fact, that they will stop approaching a target while outside their physical blood pact range. Since that doesn't get adjusted, you basically can't use physical blood pacts on a target your avatar is attacking (you kind of have to run past your intended target to have the avatar follow you and get close enough to do the thing.)

I noticed what you described as well, though I started instinctually compensating for it.

I noted the damage scaling issue because there was a SAM in one match that was doing 8k WS to the 2k many of us have lol. Eventually I was able to survive one with a Giant's drink and titan's severe damage buff tho lol

On SMN I can gauranteed oneshot someone twice in a match with Odin (if I sleep them first) but SAM can basically do it whenever they want
