I major failing of Paladin, that was never really addressed is its lack of AoE abilities to create and maintain hate on multiple monsters.
In places like Ambsucade it's less of a problem, since all players have initial aggro but outside of that it's really silly that Paladin has to sub /blu to be effective.
Should Pld get flashga and / or Uriel Blade as a JA?

why is it silly that PLD "has" to sub a useful sub for some specific situation?
I sub SAM on SMN for solo play, because it facilitiates skillchains for my summons and/or trusts to burst. I sub something else for some other circumstance, i sub different things on different jobs. Isn't that supposed to be the beauty of the subjob system?

/blu is the only serious sub for pld now, you should not have to sub blu and spam a couple of blue magic spells for aoe/aggro. It goes against the vibe of the job as a paladin, they could add more pld like abilities or spells to coax players back into subbing war.
Flashga, flash2, UB would be these and it would not be a major rework since the spells and ja already exist.

I agree. /BLU is the only serious sub for PLD. (In Sortie, you can argue PLD/SCH has it's place in Aminon fights, but that is not the norm or even necessarily very frequent).
I think Paladin deserves Flashga and enmity/potency increases with divine magic skill.

It is absolutely not required or even remarkable for single monster boss fights, which are plentiful in the game. You can argue people still do it for the sake of convenience, but BLU isn't even the only job that can give you an AoE, either. There are definitely other ways to do this, especially with certain other jobs in a party.
Is an AoE spell native to PLD necessairly bad idea? of course not. But I don't see it increasing subjob diversity, people will just switch to whatever the new best option is (Presumably WAR unless NIN is ever useful anymore)- and that option will likely be universal regardless of situation whereas BLU is only remarkable if you need to hold AoE hate. And saying it "deserves it" is a step too far, no job "deserves" any particular change unless the job is wholly inferior to another job with the same practical role in a party.
So I don't really see a change that simply swaps the "only serious sub" for another job that will become the "only serious sub" as an improvement.

I understand your perspective, but SE did acknowledge the gap in PLD's AoE spells by giving them Banishga... it's a start, but I think we need something better.

Like I said, i'm not suggesting this wouldn't improve the job in some way, but it doesn't really impact subjob diversity (which was the justification given), it just trades one be-all-end-all sub for another. Considering BLU isn't a job that many other jobs sub all the time (unless i'm really missing something here or the Shiva community is just different), I don't really think it's a terrible thing that PLD is doing it.

Yes, give us Uriel Blade!
And what is the reason they should just give us Uriel Blade?
Ya gotta earn your prizes my friend.

Well okay, if you want to get pedantic about it: Give us a way to gain access to Uriel Blade in content that is not Campaign, preferably while using a weapon with ilvl119 stats?
Hey, maybe that's something to consider for the next high-tier battlefield brainstorming session, a Fiat Lux revisit; that's different enough from the classic Shadow Lord fight to be interesting, and it might get people to spend time on Campaign if it requires a base Fiat Lux clear to enter. (If we're doing that though, Griffinclaw II should be joined by Samudra II and Lex Talionis II in that prize pool, none of those weapons really got a chance to shine.)

It always felt kinda lame that of the three campaign WSs we got, two were swords and one was a no damage staff WS. Not much variety there.
