Anyone know the Trust party set up in order to defeat this NM, Missabikong, a Marolith? I have tried 3 times and run out of a time of 15 minutes. Its AOE kills most of my trusts starting with the WHM. No info on wiki about Maroliths. Please help thanks.

Hi, I was having trouble with this fight too, but I think I've finally figured something out! Got the boss really low with this strategy.

In case you haven't gotten past this mission yet or someone else finds it helpful I'll write my method here.

First of all I tried this as DNC/SAM, with a +1 Mummu set, and a frankly pathetic Senuna's mantle (only gotten DEX +7 and WS damage +5% on it so far).
My knife is Ajja knife + Voluspa knife off hand. All of these gear are from Ambuscade, apart from Voluspa knife which is a cheapo Domain Invasion knife

I think just make sure you have item level 119 and summon your healer last so they're out of the way. As soon as I spawn the NM, I run off the stairs to the west so there's a bit more room to fight.

What you really don't want are trusts that do lightning damage, I think that actually heals Missabikong.

The trusts I were using was Valaineral, Prishe II, Semih Lafihna (because she's a baddy that skillchains with me), Arciela II, and finally Apururu for healing.
Prishe II for blunt damage, I think this is good against maroliths.
But the most important one here is Arciela II, because I think she actually dispels or at least negates Missabikong's shock spikes. Both BG Wiki and FFXIClopedia say Missabikongs shock spikes are undispellable, so if that's actually true then maybe her Addle is helping.
Either way, adding Arciela II to the mix is what helped me finally do somewhat consistent damage and not get stunned by Shock Spikes constantly.

Oh, and don't forget to buff up and put on reraise just in case :)
If you want to be extra prepared, go kill some of the enemies surrounding the stairs so your healer and other trusts can put on their buffs before the fight begins.

Good luck!

I seem to remember it having high damage resistance in addition to everything else, and I somehow made it go away, I think, but not being able to fight it again aside from helping others, I never figured out what happened.

I should dig through my video archives some time to see if I recorded it...

But yeah, can also try dragging it away from the healer(s), if possible, to help with the area attacks if they are the main problem, though it might be a bit tricky there...

Holy moly the next one is tough too! Prepare yourself, lol.. I don't think I have enough magic evasion for these missions.
