How do resistance traits work?

Example -

Resist Sleep I % to resist
Resist Sleep II % to resist


Etc.


Is it a flat resistance rate, does it help reduce the duration of the effect?

Does each tier add 10%?

Answers would be appreciated.

My guess is they add to the magic evasion for those particular effects, although it would be very nice to know how much. But this is nearly impossible to determine and SE has never been very forward with this kind of information.

Right, but I'm really confused as to what the +# means as opposed to the standard "Enhances Resist Petrify" on a Stormsoul ring.

Why even put he +'s at all?

there is a lot of "Enhances xxx" and it gives different rates, triple attack, double attack, fast cast off top my head

all in all i really do not get SEs obession wityh giving lack of information, I do not mind figuring some stuff out but this is a bit much. I seen people rip people off before due to lack of hidden effect knowalge like some cape that gives you + eminty but makes the mob have like 50% crt hit rate on you ( something like this)

Actually, it has to do with the 1024 system.
