Hi, I havent played this game in years and decided to pick it up again. I was wondering if it was possible to pick a race and start in their zone for the Nation Rink and then head directly to a different Nation to make that your starter Nation. If so what would be the process.

Example: Say I want to play a Hume but I want to actually Start in Windurst. I like Windurst better I remember that zone more. But I dont want to lose out on the Nation ring. At what point are you part of a Nation? Can I start as a hume in their nation and grab the ring and then skedaddle to Windurst like a traitor or something? lol

from memory, no, not straight off, you have to progress in missions, however it shouldn't take too long to do that, then when you reach a certain rank (can't remember), you can transfer

How is this setup? Is it you start in a Nation. Do all the Nation quests and then can transfer to a new Nation and do their quests as well? If this is the case I may just start in the Nation of my race, then move to the other nation I dont want, and Finish off in my Dream Nation. Like a retiring Program. :D

[EDIT]: I read something about race changing coming to game as well. Is this true or a wishful rumor?

You don't need to complete a city's missions to change to another one, you can talk to one of the relevant NPCs (https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Immigration_NPC) at any time to move to a new one. There will be a fee based on the conquest standing of the city you're switching to, so try to pick a week when Windurst is in last place.

As for race change... it's a feature that has been teased but hasn't had a date or details officially released yet. The last place I can remember hearing about any mention of it was the June edition of Freshly Picked Vana'diel.

According to Freshly Picked Vana'diel, it looks like you will be able to re-select your race, gender, and size, including hairstyle, all together from scratch.
(However, this is still under consideration, so there is a possibility that this may change in the future.)

(It is auto-generated, but subtitles can be displayed from the lower right corner.)

I am using a translation app to type in English. Sorry if it is translated incorrectly to mislead you.

Thank you for the information. I have a game plan now. :D
