Just to double check, you have turned idle timeout off in config/global, auto disconnect to off?
If it is already off you may want to change connection check in the settings.
with enough google a solution was found in two simple steps
step 1. before logging in click on network Connection on the main POL screen

step 2. Change Disable (which is default) to Enable

I've been online for about an hour now.
Another thing you could also check is if your computer is running any other firewalls other than windows firewall. I've seen some end connections like this. It is very likely something automated since it is 20 minutes each time.
You could also try connecting via a VPN to eliminate a route issue. There are free VPNs such as windscribe.

Idle disconnect shouldn't cause s/r to drop, it works more like /logout: you're online, and then you aren't.
I found a few resources you might find useful, apparently this is a problem a few other people have had which wasn't a straightforward fix but they found some workarounds. TL;DR version: Try setting up port forwarding for network ports FFXI may use. This may include: TCP 25, 80, 110, 443 and from 50000 to 65535; UDP from 50000 to 65535. Windows 11 might also be causing some issues because Windows versions after 7 are functionally cleverly-disguised malware.

A VPN can potentially address this issue as well. Not ideal, but may be worth trying. Mudfish is a dirt cheap VPN. A couple dollars gets you many months of bandwidth for a game like this.
Also, since you said you've been playing on wifi, I'd strongly advise finding a network cable and try plugging into your router directly if at all possible. Many games can be flaky on wireless.

Alright I went for the easy one first, changing the connection settings in Play Online. I have beed playing for a bout an hour now and have not been disconnected. S/R is normall, % is normal and I have recived no errors. Hopefully this is permanent.

I tried to do that, but my computer is stuck in a loop of validating the cable, then disconnecting and need ing to re-validate every 10 seconds.
