I'd like to propose an additional type of New Year's Pouch this year. I think giving friends one of my unused +2 earrings would be a wonderful gift for the Holidays. Let us put an unwanted +2 Sortie Earring into a New New Year's Pouch once a day. When the recipient opens them, they get an unrolled +2 of the job that was put in by the other person. It can be the same stats if that it's not significantly more work on the dev side, but I personally like the surprise aspect of it being able to be rolled as part of the gift.
Yes this will create an outrageous earring market if not implemented correctly.
The most important question is if this New Pouch is same PoL account sendable and openable, like current New Year's Pouches are. Sortie Earrings themselves are same PoL account sendable. If they are allowed then you can send your secondary accounts your poorly rolled Earrings in hopes that you do better and then send them back to your original account. This is much more selfish than my intent but I'm also not against it if that's what SE/people wanted.
By doing that, you also allow the main account to send their earrings to secondary accounts so that can make additional pouches per account that they have on the same PoL per day. That would create a large amount of transferable earrings and a market for them overnight. If the stats were saved on the earrings, the price for perfect rolled earrings on desirable jobs would be astronomical but even unrolled the prices of good jobs is still going to be high. I'd ideally like to avoid this if possible.
As a person who has many earrings he wishes he could give away to people who would want them, I understand where my bias is and would like that generosity to be the basis of something like this. I don't have any huge interest in rerolling my own earrings because that makes winners and losers of people based on luck and Sortie already exists for that.
I'll include a couple extra points in the next post so this one is only a small wall of text instead of a large one.
