Literally a dozen times this year the payment system has needed to be fixed, it's getting ridiculous.

Problems with visa. Problems with crysta. Problems with paypal. Problems with general bugs. Problems with taxation.

Get it together.

Uh, they just fixed the debit card problems recently, and SE has had no problem whatsoever taking my money for the last 20 odd years. Get a different financial institution maybe.

SE has had many times in the past where they have trouble taking money from people. Don't remember the whole ClickAndBuy fiasco? Or requiring 3DSecure-enabled cards?

Yeah, I do, but that's long in the past. And I still had no problems paying them during any of that.

I don't remember the exact details but we lost a few people who couldn't give SE money.

well you can't really do anything about the past, all they can really do is try not to repeat those mistakes. It seems to me like they did figure out that security is all well and good but if their standards are too high to where legitimate consumers are treated like criminals, they will lose them.

Nope, I'm holding this thread as an example to go with my own that someone has failed us for 23 years at SE to do their job with these payment systems.

It's not the customers fault all the time lets instead aim for the fact that cards with perfectly normal "financial institutions" still get errors 401 & i2501.

I got a bank manager willing to stand by me that it's not MY fault personally or the banks.
It's whatever funny biz is going on SE's side.
