Party or Solo: Alliance with 8 members

Monster Name: All Volte NMs
Steps:
1. Equip Creed Cuirass +1/+2 or Chevalier's Cuirass +1/+2/+3
2. Engage Volte NM on any wave 3 halo
3. Build CE/VE using Paladin spells and abilities
4. After a certain amount of time (potentially when CE/VE cap) weapon skills from Volte NMs will deal excessively high damage

Unless this wasn't happening at some point in the past, sure looks by design to me considering how consistent the behavior is.
Also, you probably shouldn't post logs showing the use of mods.

This is not by design and it is a longstanding bug with this armor piece.

This is apparently intended behavior; previous report landed in Working As Intended. https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/60336-Chevalier-Cuirass-2-causes-you-to-get-1-shotted-by-Volte-Monsters-in-Dynamis-Diverge

The reason I posted yet another bug report about this armor piece is that, despite it being documented since 2022 when the item was released nothing has been done about it. Last weekend I decided to create the old 89 +2 version to verify that the bug persists in that version as well.
I would also like to note that it has been documented that this bug occurs during the Fomor Ambuscade month as well.

This is fascinating and very thorough. Include these notes in your original post so SE can see that there is consistency in how unusual this is. It must be an issue with this armor piece in all forms (from to 89-119) OR an issue with formors.

It has to be a mix of both cases with how messy the calculations are taken and them using our weapon skills. It's shocking how this issue has been overlooked for 2 years, and they moved the old threads to insufficient info (or working as intended?) and this is a huge issue for PLDs using said body armor and dying instantly because of the bug.

Just because a bug report isn't accepted doesn't mean it is working as intended.
To be clear we are talking about a body that reduces damage taken based on enmity. Is very clearly increasing damage taken against something specific, Fomors using player weapon skills.
