No one cares about Master Trials

No one cares about Master Trial fights.

You're catering to 20 people instead of the 10,000 that actually want content worth doing.

Well there should be some reason to grind MLs besides making existing content easier.

Well, I remember being kind of excited to try master trials, back before my group evaporated... but yeah, I dunno. A lot of those fights sound like less of a fun challenge and more of a "well, screw you for even trying" kind of affair. The rewards are neat, though I feel like maybe a voucher for any one master trial weapon might be better than "you want a sword? You're going to be doing this fight a lot." It's just cosmetic stuff, why not let people grind it out on whichever one they like.

The thing is though, I feel like master trials are probably pretty easy to make from a development standpoint? I mean, there aren't any more special mechanics than, say, Ambuscade, so it's something a designer can do without a whole lot of extra features having to be added? So, the options here probably weren't ever master trial or some other exciting new content... it was between "master trial" and "no master trial."

I'd love to see some big new event too - though I feel like that's a monkey's paw kind of wish, after seeing Sortie and Vana'bout - but if someone has just enough time to make a master trial, which they'd otherwise be spending on, say, reskinning a relic weapon for April Fools' Day... I'd take the master trial. Something to do is better than nothing.

When you win at Moblin Maze Mongers and hit the chest, you can get EXP, but the character will never get more than 1 level and 1exp away from the next.
I would like to see Master Trials give a LOT of Exemplar Points. Something like 100k exemplar points for clearing the oldest ones, 250k for some of the later ones, and 500k for the hardest of all.


Or instead of a direct benefit of Exemplar points, how about monthly RoE Objectives for each, which when cleared gives Exemplar Points +xx%.
Since it's a monthly RoE, it would reset every monthly update, that way people actually have a reason to go back instead of only ever doing the fight for clear and maybe repeat a few times for some friends' clears.
