Hello! I'm a returning player, and I had an idea for how to improve the returning/new player experience.
The auction house is currently barren in terms of lower level gear and materials. The reason for this is that people can only sell 7 things at a time and there's no guaranty that a slow moving item would sell in any reasonable amount of time.
My idea is to implement an NPC near each auction house that you can sell things to like any other NPC. It could pay out that exact same gil as any other NPC.
The difference would be that this NPC would then list the items sold to them on the auction house for either the NPC value of the item or the average gil price of the last 100 confirmed purchases.
The gil that goes toward buying items listed by the NPC would just be removed from the economy. It would incentivize people to get rid of materials or old gear in a way that helps stimulate the economy rather than falling to dust or simply leading to inflation.
