"A Journey Begins" CS don't land

Hello !

I just started a new character and got difficulties w/ Abyssea.

To explain what's the problem, i went throw several Mission (Rank 6.. RoV and all the side mission progess needed ..) and i tried to activate the traverser's stone w/ joachim in port jeuno, but nothing happen.

I checked the requirement (Lvl 30+ job) which i got when i zone in port jeuno, but still nothing happen. No Cut scene to lunch Abyssea quest (A journey begins) or possibility to stack traverser's stone.

I think the game is stuck or i missed something.

I need this to start stack traverser's stone.

Hello, you have chosen to "pause" your cutscene for Abyssea, upon entering Port Jeuno.

Talking to Joachim will not progress the quest if you have chosen to pause your progress.

This was an update in the July 2023 version, and has not been reflected properly in the BGwiki/FFXIclopedia websites.

I recently had to help someone with this exact same issue, and I struggled to find the information for them then, and also have struggled now.

I believe you have to talk to 1 of 2 non-playable (NPC) characters:

"Tales' Beginning"
or
"Melody Minstrel"

I am sorry, but I'm unsure which NPC you need to speak to for Abyssea.

I want to say, Melody Minstrel in Port Jeuno?

I do not work for Square-Enix. I just am trying to help you sooner before you receive a response, as I believe the issue you are having is you paused your mission, and need to talk to either of these new NPC's to start the mission. I am sorry.

That was exactly what you said, i found the "Melody Minstrel" in port Jeuno (near the Mog House) and the book close to him let me choose to start the Mission.
