Hello!
I have a list of items that cannot seem to be stored on any Storage slips or any Armor/Scenario NPC. Some of these items seem too precious to throw away. To my knowledge, I don't even know if these are obtainable again once they are dropped.
So, I decided to take a look at the list of Scenario Storage, Armor and Item Depository NPCs and it seems that Adoulin is the only city missing such an NPC:
See: https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:Event_Storage_NPC
To my knowledge, the items below cannot be stored anywhere. So, these are the items that I would like to see added to such a useful storable NPC, include:
Glory Crown
Mandragora Pot
Adenium Pot
Korrigan Pot
Citrullus Pot
Nmd. Moogle Rod
Ram Staff
Cobra Staff
Fourth Staff
Mundus Shield
Midras's Helm +1
Shaper's Shawl
Delegate's Cuff
Delegate's Garb
Councilor's Garb
Councilor's Cuffs
Blueblade Fell
Esthete's Hose
Esthete's Coat
Esthete's Masque
Sortie items: Old Cases, Eikondrite, "??? Earring:" items.
Ambuscade materials like Abdhaljs Dust, Thread, Resin, Dye, etc.
...
Thank you for your time.
Edit: I will continue to update this list as I find more significant items that cannot be stored anywhere. If you find them too, please add them.

The ground stores these items very well
But there should be a place for everything so +1

Thanks for the +1. I've adding a few items, since my first post. If folks add additional items here, I will update the list in my original post.

While we're at it, can we please store the Esthete's set from Voracious Resurgence?

Glory Crown - this item is considered signed, so can't be stored
Ulthalum's Ring - you can speak to an NPC to re-obtain it (or one of the other two ToAU reward options) once per week.
Nomad Moogle Rod - items with multiple charges cannot be stored.
Blueblade Fell - can be stored on Storage Slip 22
Other items that are the equivalents to what you've already suggested:
Cobra Staff
Fourth Staff
Delegate's Cuff
Councilor's Garb
Personally, I think it'd be nice if *all* Ex items could be stored. Currently I collect them and store them on my mules... :/

As it currently stands, items can exist with EXTDATA in the form of charges counters, augments or being signed. It's currently up to SE to decide what to do with that EXTDATA upon storage in a slip. I've listed them to let decide how to handle this situation. (SE could just give us a new 20-hours chargs item, like Nomad Moogle Rod every conquest tally, as a means of storage, right?).

That seems like it shouldn't be as hard a fix as any of the others; there is no way for a player to obtain it without it having a single specific signature applied, so there's no extra data that would need to be stored, exactly. Just make sure that the storage NPC is set up so if a Glory Crown comes out, a Naja Salaheem signature is stamped onto it.
... or maybe, after, what has it been fifteen years since Treasures of Aht Urghan? Maybe finally just give us a chance to feel like we've legitimately earned that thing for ourselves instead of being handed it as a half-gnawed scrap.

Updating this thread in the hopes that we can get the 20 inventory slots by SE making these items storable. (It would be even more if we could store, deposit, or deliver-box Sinister Reign weapons and armor.

The 20x level 30 job torques would be a great addition to Moogle Storage Slip 04 (AF).
Why can't I just throw these things away??

People accidentally throw away irreplacable items all the time. I'm pretty sure you can throw those away if you really want to? I haven't tried, but I don't recall the game preventing you from throwing away anything that can go in the inventory unless it's equipped or placed in a storage space other than the inventory.
Aside from that though, I absolutely approve improving item storage solutions.

I think it was rhetorical, as in "Why can't I bring myself to throw these things away??"

Indeed. It's a minor mental illness, embodied physically in my home by having thousands of books. Preferable to a lot of others.

Hoping SE acknowledges some inventory updates
Well, we got an inventory update this month, but not the one we wanted, lol. (Hopefully SE fixes storage slips this month).

We are getting +4 Artifact/Relic armor soon, and it is most likely true, that storage slip updates will come soon enough? ...It would be nice if the above items in this thread can be made storable as well!
Also, someone made a similar, overlapping request was posted here:

It would be nice if one-time mission items could be reclaimed via an NPC. Perhaps they can wash up on the shore of your Mog Garden if you've dropped them? (with appropriate mission progress of course).

I should hope that a new storage slip comes alongside the addition of +4 gear, it would be an insult if they didn't.

Perhaps they can wash up on the shore of your Mog Garden if you've dropped them?Unlike FFXIV, which sets flags in your character data for basically every item you get that can't be repeatedly obtained in order to allow them to be re-aquired from the Calamity Salvager, FFXI does not keep track of any of this sort of information. It seems like they are limited in what they can actually attach directly to the character data, which is why the storage slips for instance depend on flags on the storage slip item itself rather than information in the character data. So it would probably be a not-insignificant system revamp to retain this information to allow you to re-obtain such items. It would be a little more complex than just checking the mission, you'd also need to check for the item itself, if anything is sendable you'd also need to check other characters, etc. etc. to ensure you can't create duplicates.

It doesn't need to be as thorough as you describe: If you've beaten with a storyline as evidenced by having the final KI, then you can re-obtain the pieces via an NPC. (Of course, if you have them already, you cannot obtain them). This is done for a number of items already, like old CoP Rings, TVR Rings, etc.
