Sortie Starstone Caskets and Stage 2 Prime Weapons

Is it still possible to obtain Ra'Kaznar Starstones from the #E1, #E2, #F1 and #G1 caskets while in the possession of a stage 2 (or higher?) Prime weapon?

Out of more than 11 boxes I've received 2 or 3 Octahedrites and 0 Ra'Kaznar Starstones. Also got at least one Octahedrite from Ghatjot (wish I could get Starstones from that thing too!).

It would probably take around 200 days to get 1,000,000 Gallimaufry for the weapon upgrade at this pace, so yeah, that's a bit out of my reach currently, and there seems to be no other use for the Octahedrite (would be nice to be able to exchange it for Gallimaufry!).

The Starstones however I indeed have uses for, and these caskets are at this time the only way I'm getting them (or at least were).

So, if these boxes can give both items, the Octahedrite and the Ra'Kaznar Starstone at the same time, that's cool, and I've just been unlucky as per the usual... but if the Starstone can not be received at the same time, or at all from these boxes with these weapons being around... that's not very good. :\

I guess I could drop the weapon and hope that takes the Octahedrite off of the list, but then I would not be able to help with a certain battlefield without making it anew. That's not very good either.

Someone in-game mentioned that they have seen them still appear, but at some point I started dropping the weapon just before I open the boxes... you know, for good luck. I would then take it back via the Recycle Bin afterwards.

Well, that doesn't seem to matter, probably, since I managed to find a Octahedrite even with the weapon dropped (I imagine they check it during entry, so that a certain mechanic related to these weapons can't (or couldn't) be worked around).

In fact, I got two of them in one run. Random fun, is. Also from both of those boxes, I got an Octahedrite with the Starstone at the same time.

Only took approximately 4 x E1, 12 x E2, 18 x F1, and 20 x G1 caskets... or 54 in total. May have missed some notes since for some reason there's less of F1 than there is G1, which I'd think would be even during this timeframe... o whell.

In terms of getting starstones, the rate is quite random. The red ones & auric coffer (eg. Bhoot kill in 5 mins from spawning or obdella) would probably give a better chance but is slight & quite random. Can also get them from the blitzer coffers in the lower levels, too.

If you are consistent with doing sortie, the stones actually stack up quite quickly so at the moment, we're finding we're stacking them up for no reason, unless SE does something so that we can sell them to Ruspix for gallimaufry, considering we now need millions. Some players manage to get into parties regularly to do a lot in Sortie to get loads of gal for the weapons but is dependent on timing of who is on & which servers do it regularly enough to get into one. Doing sortie constantly now, just to get 1 prime weapon level 3, is getting very tiresome. I'm not sure if that was the intention, though.

Yeah, would be nice to be able to trade them for Gallimaufry. Can imagine people in parties getting so many, when I've got over 40 Sapphires from solo runs.

Generally going for the Aurum Coffer, the F1 and G1 caskets, and Ghatjot on top when soloing for Gallimaufry.

If going for more Starstone chances, then instead of spending time on the Aurum Coffer (unless happen to find nice placement like the Obdella with Deleterious in the same room quick-like), I go for the 15 Esurient Flan (and the Bitzer there if lucky).

I think starstones dropping depends on if you have any empyrean+2 pieces on you at the time, like octahedrites coming from the blitzer coffers in F & G when i have a prime weapon stage 2 on me. If you go a consistent route when solo, the stones easily stack up. It's crazy. I'm just stacking in hope at the moment.

That is certainly a possible.

During the time I have been making notes of them, I have had at least one +2 with me.

All in all, I guess it hasn't been /too/ too bad, considering the solo aspect, and since I get perhaps 8-9k Malligaufry at most per run, I'm more lacking in that instead of the stones right now.

The ~drite stones dropping has no impact on your Starstone drop. You can get multiple drops from a single chest/boss kill.
