So I was on youtube watching something about the YubiKey right and it got me thinking with FFXI being one account that would well lets just say be bad if i lost.

it got me thinking is there any support or anyway or hope that we can use or that SE has put backend support for something like a YubiKey to log in to FFXI and FF14 on top of the Key chain or App as a second wall to protecting your account

One 2FA method is plenty sufficient.

One 2FA method is plenty sufficient.for most i agree but i like many i know have been playing for like 15-20 years and yes this account is special thats why i would want a 3rd level of protection for my account.

thats why i do wonder if this is something that can work

SE does not support any external 2FA methods.

It's like I said though. With 2FA, the only realistic way to compromise an account is a phishing attack with a fake website you log into that gives them both your password and the 2FA code. But if you fall victim to something like that, not even 10 passwords could save you. Awareness and vigilance is more effective than more passcodes.

Go to your SE account and select to use it.

Go to your SE account and select to use it.I checked, it does exist but you can't use them at the same time, which is what the poster is asking.
