reistall and download

i was freezing up on ps2 all the time went and got another ps2 same thing freeze lag ect all the time went and got another ps2 now after a comlete reinstall i cant even download the game to play it stops at 95% complete and just freezes
its gone to 95% many times im on dsl they have tried every thing to get it to work but it fails every time its saturday atm sunday i am getting cable from comcast i hope it works any one else having this prob?
