Hello,

following the ticket i opened :
[t22161525:2565] Problem connexion Main account Ssandoria

My main character is still stuck near the leather craft guild house.
And still i tried to log, the window still closed when "New Challenge" appears on my character.

Otherwise, my others character can be logged and play with. But still, it's not my main.

Could you please investigate and fix the issue.
i don't know if i'm the only one in this situation... but i can't play anything with my main character.

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sothara

My character is also stuck in Southern San d'Oria, ever since the patch the game crashes to Windows as soon as I log in. I ran the file check and it says no problems detected. It begins to download data and looks like it's about to display the "New Challenge" and then the game client completely crashes.

This is a bug with 2 of the files in the update, re-installing or file check won't fix it because you'll just download the broken file again. They know they broke those two files, it's just about waiting for them to fix it.

There is a way to temp fix it so you can login but I can't post it here, check ffxiah or reddit.

This belongs in tech support, not bug reports.

No it's a bug, there are at least 2 broken files from the patch. The silly way they were both broken (potential tech prob with the dev systems) and the time it's taking to fix it is pretty concerning honestly. Since that implies there is an issue outside of the basics of the problem, unless there is some kind of long winded verification system for patching and that is what is taking so much time. That usually only applies to consoles though.

It may well be, but if your character is stuck somewhere, GMs can move you. That won't happen by posting here. And proper bug report proceedures as always need to be followed i.e. using the template.

Can a GM move a character that crashes when they log in?

They've accepted that it's a current known issue, although that doesn't help the people who haven't been able to log on

We have confirmed the following issue. We are currently investigating and ask for your patience as we work to resolve the issue.

[Confirmed Issue]

-Moving to the following areas may cause the client to crash.

 Southern San d’Oria/Northern San d’Oria

*Please refrain from moving to the affected areas until the issue is resolved.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Log on another character if you have one and call from there.

I haven't checked this, but if you can log on from an alt and check the time. Try login your stuck character during the day time, when there are no lights on you have a better chance possibly. Since it's linked to overloaded effects in the rooms they updated.

Also re-installing won't help, nor will logging in from another computer.

It is unacceptable this still is not fixed. If I were stuck I'd be raising hell.

There should be a GM whos sole purpose in life is to move players that are stuck until you fix it.

You are so right !
Well, Thank you all, so i did what you suggested Uriah regarding the files... i tried to GM call but still in the queue (10h after...) so i managed the files.

I can play now with my main.

Don't be a jerk (for lack of another forum appropriate term), it takes time to fix things. Even if the problem seems simple to you, often the fix is not.

With the deployment of the 12th January 2023, the issue is fixed and we can get back to south sando or north sando without any crash.
We can close this subject. Thanks all
