Just checked out Crawler's Nest (S).
It's HORRIBLE. You may as well have just turned all the mobs to Locus with that distribution. There's no way to even 'cleave' small groups of mobs.
In other news. No handbell instrument prime weapon. Please! It's been over 8 years since geomancer has seen a new handbell. Add one to the list of prime weapons. Bard got dagger & an instrument. GEO should get a handbell as well. Things GEO is lacking: DD stats. Or the ability for both the master & luopan to survive while the geomancer attacks. An easy fix would be to add a handbell with stats like: Damage Taken -15% Pet: Regen +15 Damage Taken -15%.
That alongside Idris and Pet: Regen+15 on the ambuscade cape would make GEO capable of wearing melee gear without worry.
If you want GEO nuking instead of melee'ing, remove the magic burst nerf. It's currently not worth doing magic burst on GEO as you'd have other mages alongside you also doing magic bursts and the geo's nukes only serve to reduce the damage a black mage would deal.

The point was to stop the rapid CP accumulation in the nest. That is what the Devs wanted. Not the worst design choice for how they are starting to build out an Exemplar Point landscape of Locus and increasing their points. If we never knew better than we wouldn't have any reason to be upset.
GEOs newer armor has been better allowing for it and the luopan to survive. As far as nuking, GEO just has to nuke after the BLM, lol.

I agree with the geo armor being better than ever. If not I'd have suggested DT-30, pet regen+15 dt-15.
Nuking is a problem because blm nukes, 1s later, you see they stared nuking and start nuking, 4s later, blm tries to nuke again... get's hit by the wall because the geo nuked 2s after the blm. instead of the nuke wall resetting 6s after the blm's nuke it's now 8s and can't get in that second burst w/o getting hit by the wall.

Consequtive nuking penalty isn't perpetual. It also doesn't mean you shouldn't have more than one nuker. Especially with Rayke and/or multi-step SCs.

The following adjustments have been made to Sortie in order to alleviate congestion.
The ability to automatically teleport, selectable upon application for entry, has been disabled.
* Players who have enabled this feature before the version update will have it automatically disabled.
The dialog option to toggle the auto-teleport function has similarly been disabled
The method for sorting players into Sortie areas has been adjusted.
please stop doing stuff like this that negatively impacts people on most servers other than the biggest two. Offer some free server transfers and balance the populations and then measures like this may not be necessary.
It's been over 8 years since geomancer has seen a new handbell.
Why is this so necessary? The main purpose of the handbell and why there's so few is really just so subjobs can't use geocolure spells.

It's a good chance, and it is unfortunate that you can't understand that. We don't need players going to bed and taking up the zone for 1 hour just to unlock a job, on any server.
Also, those two largest servers matter more than all the small ones in terms of the design direction required. Sorry you don't like that, but it is reality. Rhode Islands do not dictate the dominant policies and it never will.

We don't need players going to bed and taking up the zone for 1 hour just to unlock a job, on any server.I mean, I agree, but if people didn't dogpile Asura, it wouldn't have happened in the first place. There was no reason to do this, it only happened because someone some years ago said "hey everyone move to asura."
I'm not really trying to say they shouldn't improve efficiency and capacity, but turning off auto transport is a really stupid idea and isn't needed on any server other than Asura and maybe one or two others. It partially negates the benefit of being on a server that's not overpopulated, and it really doesn't make sense to take away a nice convenience just because not having it helps queue times on the biggest servers.
It would be fine if they could do things like this on a per server basis. I should also point out that they haven't take the measure of disabling auto transport for any other content that uses the same systems.
Also, those two largest servers matter more than all the small ones in terms of the design direction required. It really isn't a required design direction though. And your US states analogy is flawed. Servers are not like states, servers have a finite capacity. California and Texas might have tons of people but they don't have a presently achievable capacity limit. Also maybe you forgot about this, but the US legislative body has two chambers expressly to partially balance the power between the biggest states and the smallest ones.
I've also never known anyone to move from one state to another specifically because of its total population being low or high.

ruspix's plate regeneration is too confusing. why can't it be simple like omen? (and allow us to stack entry KI)

What's confusing about it? It's basically designed such that you can go every 20 hours even if you somtmes are on later or earlier.
All it does is add up the difference between when your plate becomes available and when you actually go in.
And thus you can essentially stack one additional reentry. Yes, it is a bit weird, but obviously it was a design decision to let you accumulate just one additional entry.

it's unnecessary. trying to reinvent the wheel for no good reason

that's what SE is famous for. Anytime they add something new they have to make some aspect of it different whether it's necessary or not

It's there for the benefit of players who aren't around most of the week while not helping regular players over farm the zone. So it's not reinventing the wheel just because you get confused over basic math.

omen lets you choose when to spend your tags too, and there is no drawback for missing days if you use them up on days you can play

And this isn't Omen. Originally Omen didn't have this option either.

I agree with bolded. However that just means they should simply adjust the event so if you enter at ALL on ANY job, every piece of empyrean +2 can be made. Just like vagary is for +1's.

The rewards for Sortie are bad. the chances of getting an earring that is for a job you want, of a quality that is worthwhile and of a roll that is valuable is way too low.
Once you have the sapphires you need, the chance for earrings alone isn't enough to keep people coming back.
Furthermore since Sortie shares an instance server with Vagary it is difficult at the moment to farm etched memories for empyrean pieces you might not already have at +1.
Please consider adding etched memories and codex of memories as drops from everything in sortie, and possibly vagary crafting materials as drops from bosses.
I would also ask to reconsider changing how earring cases work, but given past content like Oseem augments and Alluvion Skirmish augments, I don't hold much hope that the devs are sympathetic to this problem.

Let me turn in 5(10?) Nq earrings of a job to get a ???+1 of the same job. 10 +1s to get a ???+2 of the same job. Still have to roll the augs.
If I'm gonna be doing Sortie for awhile for earrings, it might as well feel like I'm making progress.

Vagary is rightfully 3 players to farm and 1 to unlock in a different instanced fight.
