Questions about tags

When we use the dev tags, do we need the [brackets]? I see some threads get for example dev1234 and some get [dev1234] is one incorrect or does it even matter?

Also how would one report inappropriate tags? I've seen some intended to be inflammatory to other posters.

in the tag cloud, most all are without the brackets (button at bottom of the page when viewing a thread, or if you use the advanced search feature off the top tool bar). Think they use the brackets in the title of the thread just to make it stand out more when you are looking at the thread lists.

I would still like to see a link directly to View Tag Cloud on the top tool bar so you can have quick access to it BEFORE starting a new thread. Help clean up the cloud a little and make the system more efficient.

Also, don't think we need to make up our own dev numbers for our own suggestions, think the numbered ones are only for official topics and topics on those topics.

Yeah we're only supposed to use them with the same number as feedback to a dev posted one.


I just had noticed some threads were using bracketed dev tags and some weren't and wondered if that mattered. In the thread titles on the dev board they have brackets, but not the tag itself on the dev board threads to not and players posting feedback are sometimes using brackets sometimes not.

They generate 2 separate lists of threads. Note that most of the ones in the larger list have both tags anyway but it would be nice to get some staff clarification or maybe make them functionally the same in a forum update.

If anyone has non related questions about tags though feel free to chime in guys.

Seeing a lot of tags used just to say things nobody would be getting away with posting...
